Summary: In a world ravaged by the undead, Alice is still on a quest to find and safely protect any survivors. She also continues to fight Umbrella Corporation, hoping to put an end to the group once and for all. Yet just when she thinks she's found salvation in L.A. she walks into the most dangerous trap yet. This movie has horrible visual effect's and garage 3-D.
Summary: This film was so bad! There are far better films if you just want to catch 3D effects. If you want to be entertained watch something else... honestly, anything else. I Got a 3D tv over christmas so prioritised a few 3D films. Put this on the list as I'd enjoyed the first two films, (especially the first) the third was a filler if nothing else to do one day. This was such a disappointment.
Excerpt: Resident Evil: Afterlife impresses on Blu-ray, despite the fact that it is a flawed flick in itself. The movie continues Alice's escapades, which brings her from a destroyed Tokyo to Los Angeles, where she meets a new band of survivors. Returning characters include Claire Redfield, Alice's former ally, and Albert Wesker, albeit now played by Shawn Roberts, a role recast from Extinction.
Excerpt: Alice joins the search for the safe haven of Arcadia and finds herself trapped in a maximum security prison with a collection of survivors in the ruins of Los Angeles. Afterlife begins with a squadron of Jovovi attacking Umbrella's headquarters in a kind of weak tribute act to The Matrix and proves once again that an original idea has never once dared trespass into the recesses of Paul Anderson's cramped imagination.

Excerpt: I think these movies are under appreciated. Yes, they offer next to no plot, yes there isn't much apart from action and Jovovich killing zombies in slow motion. But that's really what the movies are selling. They aren't trying to do more than that. I love Resident Evil: Afterlife. It's a great action movie to pass the afternoon, or evening, or morning for that matter. The plot isn't up to much. But this is just delivering on action.
Summary: It was baffling how Alice survives the crash from the beginning, the big undead got it and the rest didn't and how easily she located the weapons armory. Stylish direction and matrix-like action were evident. Plot however was uninteresting, as mentioned by a few previous reviewers. Special effects and soundtrack were cool. Resident Evil: Afterlife could have been way better in the storytelling category with more likable characters.
