Summary: In a world ravaged by the undead, Alice is still on a quest to find and safely protect any survivors. She also continues to fight Umbrella Corporation, hoping to put an end to the group once and for all. Yet just when she thinks she's found salvation in L.A. she walks into the most dangerous trap yet. This movie has horrible visual effect's and garage 3-D.
Excerpt: Afterlife was well done but not my favorite out of the first 4 movies in the Resident Evil franchise. The action sequences were very well done throughout the film. One thing I like is how they brought back some of the same characters from #3 (Extinction). The PQ is outstanding along with the DTS Master Audio sound track. The surround speakers are very busy with what is going on in the movie. This adds a lot to the movie IMO.
Excerpt: Resident Evil: Afterlife impresses on Blu-ray, despite the fact that it is a flawed flick in itself. The movie continues Alice's escapades, which brings her from a destroyed Tokyo to Los Angeles, where she meets a new band of survivors. Returning characters include Claire Redfield, Alice's former ally, and Albert Wesker, albeit now played by Shawn Roberts, a role recast from Extinction.
Excerpt: Alice joins the search for the safe haven of Arcadia and finds herself trapped in a maximum security prison with a collection of survivors in the ruins of Los Angeles. Afterlife begins with a squadron of Jovovi attacking Umbrella's headquarters in a kind of weak tribute act to The Matrix and proves once again that an original idea has never once dared trespass into the recesses of Paul Anderson's cramped imagination.

Excerpt: I think these movies are under appreciated. Yes, they offer next to no plot, yes there isn't much apart from action and Jovovich killing zombies in slow motion. But that's really what the movies are selling. They aren't trying to do more than that. I love Resident Evil: Afterlife. It's a great action movie to pass the afternoon, or evening, or morning for that matter. The plot isn't up to much. But this is just delivering on action.
Summary: It was baffling how Alice survives the crash from the beginning, the big undead got it and the rest didn't and how easily she located the weapons armory. Stylish direction and matrix-like action were evident. Plot however was uninteresting, as mentioned by a few previous reviewers. Special effects and soundtrack were cool. Resident Evil: Afterlife could have been way better in the storytelling category with more likable characters.
Excerpt: I myself enjoy whatching things come out of the screen and this movies delivered!, Movie itself was also good and it sets up nicley for a sequal. Would recommenend for sure to show off your 3d system!
Resident Evil(series) needs Fresh Blood or R.I.P.!

Summary: Sheer disappointment! This is surely the weakest Resident Evil movie in the series. Although we still have the ruthless Umbrella corporation and the undead here chasing the survivors, their characterisation also left much to be desired. The only thing which was and still goes good for the series is Milla Jovovich. That's unfortunate because how much of the movie's success can she carry on her sexy shoulders :) Yes, she still looks smokin' hot and ably kicks b***.
Summary: A lot happens but there's not a lot going on - about as brainless action as you can get. Plus, for no reason I can fathom, they throw in a bunch of elements from the most recent RE games (the parasite thing in the zombies and dogs - Wesker being super human fast, the huge executioner). The action was non-stop and fun but the story just sucked.
