Summary: A great idea which could and almost did turn into an excellent movie, but was ruined by a bloated middle and some unnecessary scenes. The older film Scanners, is much better and explores a similar theme.
Summary: Enjoyed this movie more the second time watching then the first. I seemed to catch more of what was going on after the first viewing. The setting was good, maybe a different location would have made it better...the action was great. I am becoming a fan of Dakota Fanning the more movie i see her in,.
Excerpt: What a mess! Push is easily one of the worst action films I've ever seen! Between flat and unlikable characters to dull action, Push gets just about everything wrong. It's campy, it's silly, and painfully un-watchable. Push is much more confusing than it needs to be.
Summary: There was something about this movie that I just didn't like going into it. I couldn't put my finger on it until the very end, which popped up out of absolutely nowhere. I'm not by any means a critic, in fact I hate critics, I really do.
Summary: The main players in this have special mind powers. U.S. gov't. and Hong Kong underworld vying for the prize, a syringe of super potion. The good special ones are trying to keep the syringe away from the bad special ones. Neither the gov't. nor the underworld are the good guys.
Summary: One of the few movies in which style over substance worked for me. I don't know what it is, but I loved the atmosphere and uniqueness of the characters and felt that the special effects didn't overpower the rest of the film.
Excerpt: A bunch of people with special powers are looking for a briefcase containing something important. A different bunch of people with special powers, who happen to work for a secret government agency called "The Division" and who are very interested in securing that briefcase, are chasing the first...
Summary: I was expecting more - they spend way too much time on the mythology of this world of "special people" and not enough time on characters. Other than Dakota Fanning, there's not a lot of personality to the film. A bit too lazy for my tastes.
