Summary: Okay this movie is not perfect but it's fun as hell when they started singing. Two a cappella groups vie for supremacy, sparking an all-out war but a rebellious girl looking to escape her unhappy school life may tip the scales when she decides to join in. I mean the actors and the crew who sing in the movie really can sing in really life.
Excerpt: Straight from the shelves of the store, comes a glossy purple slipcover with blue around the edges. The copy I purchased contains a Blu-Ray, DVD, digital copy as well as an Ultraviolet copy. I really love this slipcover. It is probably one of my favorites for a movie. If you buy this movie, try to find one with a slipcover because it shines and looks awesome. When you open up the Blu-Ray itself, there are two disc. They are both purple colored.
Excerpt: I could care less about this movie. Its so corny it hurts me to write a brief review. My 14 yr old daughter loves this flick so it has a spot on my collection shelf. Once she outgrows it, I will burn the disc along with her Justin Bieber bluray.
Excerpt: You'll either love this film or hate it. You'll either get its appeal and dig it, or you won't understand why Universal would ever green light such a thing. If you like pop music and high school/college comedies, you'll likely enjoy this film. Video and audio quality are adequate for the type of film that it is. I don't see this as a "must own" on BD, and I'm sure SD would be just fine. The film is visually engaging (lots of bright colors), but bit isn't an FX bonanza.
Excerpt: "I sometimes have a feeling I can do crystal meth, but then I think, mmm... better not." Beca (Anna Kendrick), a freshman at the fictional Barden University is an aspiring DJ who wants more than anything to be a music producer but her dad makes her go to college first. Whilst there she decides to join the school's all-female vocal ensemble Barden Bellas, led by the authoritarian Aubrey (Anna Camp) who's hell-bent on taking the International Championship of Collegiate A...
Summary: A huge hit! Pitch Perfect is so much fun. It's not the most hilarious comedy I've ever seen recently, but there are some funny moments throughout. Add to that some great musical mash-ups and some solid performances, you get a good movie. Check it out! There's a lot to love here.
