Summary: Two friends to the end cross the United States when they encounter an alien named Paul near Area 51 - the alien decides to join them and the trio plot a course back to his mother ship. This movie was enjoyable to watch and it's got a lot of jokes to laugh at.
Summary: What a great cast! This movie was awesome and has a very nostalgic feel to it. It has the cross-country road trip aspect, comic book references, aliens, drinking, buddy-movie aspect. It is a lot of fun. Pegg again, proves his awesomeness.
Excerpt: Two English comic book nerds on the road in the American mid west have a close encounter with a stranded alien and decide to help him evade capture by the sinister Men In Black who are pursuing him. The epic ongoing bromance between Simon Pegg and Nick Frost becomes an extra-terrestial menage-a-trois with the addition of Seth Rogen's chain smoking, smart mouthed E.T. in this amusing road movie from the Spaced school.
Excerpt: Simon Pegg and Nick Frost are two straight guys who take a long-awaited trip to San Diego for the Comic Con festival. On their way across the country, they encounter a foul-mouthed, smoking alien dude (voiced by Seth Rogan) named Paul who having been used by the government for knowledge (including advising Steven Spielberg on 'E.T') has outlived his usefulness and is looking to get back to his mothership.
Excerpt: Synopsis: While on tour in America to attend a comic-con and to visit some well-known ET sites, Graeme and Clive - a couple of British sci-fi nerds - are surprised and then befriended by Paul, a long-stranded extraterrestrial who is trying to reach the rendezvous point where a ship awaits to take him home.
Summary: I didn't quite know what to expect with this movie, but I was pleasantly surprised. Loved the actors, the story line, and all the geeky sci-fi references. Made me laugh and and warmed my heart throughout the whole thing.
Excerpt: I really wanted to like this movie and I did enjoy parts of it, but, frankly, it isn't very good. The film's main downfall, in fact, is it's title character, portrayed by Seth Rogen as a vulgar, weed-smoking, often rude extraterrestrial. The thing is, making Rogen's Paul a type of every other character Rogen has played recently makes "Paul" "just another Seth Rogen movie," rather than the geek-fueled homage to sci-fi films it desperately wants to be.
Summary: Paul was a pretty good movie which really suprised me.I haven't liked a movie that Seth Rogen has been in since 40 Year Old Virgin & I haven't liked a movie that Simon Pegg & Nick Frost have been in together since Shaun Of The Dead so I didn't think I'd like Paul.Wow, Was I suprised. It's like watching a comedy with ET going on a road trip.I'd say check it out
Excerpt: Tara’s dog got squashed by a spaceship of Paul. To geeks Graeme (sketch artist) and Clive (writer) meet Paul and embarks in a journey. Many extra terrestrial references such as Close Encounters of the 3rd kind (tone, ending and mountain), Star Wars (shirt/the memorabilia/soundtrack), E.T. (signal while waiting), X-files (Paul’s idea of Maulder),Mac & Me Aliens (Weaver) and of course, the director who does the best alien related flicks, Spielberg.
