Excerpt: From watching the trailers, I expected massive action and spectacle. And you know what? I got exactly that on the highest level. 'Pacific Rim' has given me the most fun 'big summer movie' experiences I've had all year. Here the action and CG effects are executed masterfully. Each fight is a rollicking, cheer-worthy effort. I was on edge in anticipation and my excitement was sustained through the whole film.
Fantastic! What are you even reading this for, go see it already.

Summary: Pacific Rim is a stellar giant robot versus alien monsters film, but don't be fooled! It has an engaging plot and wicked characterization as well. I was particularly impressed by the fact that Mako Mori is a very well rounded female protagonist- not something you see very often in sci-fi action movies!
Summary: A great cast littered with action stars from the big screen and television. Elba, Day, Hunnam and Perlman come together nicely when under the direction of Guillermo del Toro, once again creating a sci-fi action world that comes to larger than life proportion on the big screen. A great combination of bone crushing action that has you in your seat backing the good guys to a hard fought victory, worth the watch better on the big screen or with serious sound to get lost in...
Summary: A rollicking rollercoaster ride which totally rocks. If only the lead actor wasn't carved out of a piece of wood this would have been superb fun. Wooden lead aside, it's cracking Kaiju v. Jaegers fun that kicks the awful 'Transboredom' franchise in the lug-nuts. Release the 8 year old kid in you, sit back, munch popcorn and enjoy!
Pacific Rim goes bizerk with a great sense of wonder and action.

Summary: We all carry a great sense of wonder. It seems to hide away as we get older, but was always strong and persistent when we were children. We could sit down and really make something out of nothing physical, or tip our toy-box all over the floor and just go mad. Pacific Rim is Guillermo Del Toro at his most unleashed. He's been given the toys for his sandpit and has gone completely bonkers, but he has also created a sense of wonder from completely nothing.
Summary: A rollicking rollercoaster ride which totally rocks in 3D.
Summary: A good american take on a classic Godzilla theme, extremely loud beasts and great cgi. Good acting that kept us entertained, If we all wanted excellent acting in movies we wouldn't have stars wars today. The previews give you an exact insight into the movie your going to get.
Summary: I thoroughly enjoyed this film, despite the eye-strain given to me by my off-center seat in IMAX. It was never going to be Citizen Kane, but Del Toro did a fantastic job at keeping quite a simple concept into a compelling, driven, heart-racing film. (Or maybe it was just all those giant robot fighting games I played when I was 12 that nostalgia'd me all up in hurr).
Summary: Giant robots vs giant aliens! What more could you want?! I've seen this twice and thought it was great both times. I thought it was fun to watch even with the cheesy lines :-) I thought the 3D was good too (not Avatar 3D standard, but I felt it wasn't just added to make a few extra dollars).
