Excerpt: Is een film waarvan ik niet veel verwachting van had, maar na het kijken vond ik het toch een geweldige film. Leuke mooie effecten, er zit ook wel een redelijk verhaal in. Dus wel een aanrader
Excellent popcorner with awesome battle sequences.

Excerpt: I definitely agree with Mr.markster's review above. What held me back from giving it a 5 was that the acting was questionable (no surprise) and the plot was indeed boring at times. At one point the theme sequence reminded me of Top Gun. As a plot the movie deserved a 3 or 3.5.
Excerpt: I have to be honest, I didn’t love Pacific Rim when I first saw it. It’s not that I thought it was bad, but as a child of anime, my expectations were really high. I thought the mech design could have been stronger, and the main character played by Charlie Hunnam was just awful.
Summary: So far I've only watched the 3D Bluray of Pacific Rim and everything worked fine. The movie picture was excellent and the sound was so loud it was knocking objects off of my shelves -haha, wasn't even turned up that high. Haven't looked at the dvd, bluray 2D or special features yet.
Why such movies are not made using actual 3D cameras or techniques

Excerpt: It would be great great fun if hollywood can spend some extra bugs to make such movies using actual 3D cameras and techniques. I wish if there would be a remake for this movie in actual 3D. Besides that i still enjoyed it. A must buy BD.
Summary: Pacific Rim is a one of a kind movie: a 100% commitment to its genre and target audience with absolutely no apologies for its material. Exceptionally well crafted, with full saturation of neon colors, rain and goo.
Summary: "Pacific Rim" is a spectacle for the eyes and ears. I mean this movie is a visual treat from well detailed robot and monster designs to high over the top, but well choreographed action sequences and massive collateral damage.
Summary: A rollicking rollercoaster ride which totally rocks in 3D. If only the lead actor wasn't carved out of a piece of wood this would have been superb fun. Wooden lead aside, it's cracking Kaiju v. Jaegers fun that kicks the awful 'Transboredom' franchise in the lug-nuts.
