Once Upon a Time: The Complete Second Season
6 September 2013
Conclusion: The second season of 'Once Upon A Time' is a lot more entertaining than the first, it's darker with more twists and has some unforgettable characters showing up this time around. Captain Hook steals the show. Fans will enjoy the series' second outing. The video and audio presentations are great with some interesting but short extras. Recommended for fans.

Conclusion: If you liked the first season of this show then you will like the second season even more. And just like the show got better, the Blu-ray for the show also improved with better video and audio quality and the extras aren’t too bad either. If this show could dump the melodrama and focus on the fantasy/adventure aspects, it would be a fantastic show. I’m going to keep watching to see if that happens and also because I want to see what happens in Neverland.

Excerpt: When I was walking past the newsstand and saw an entire monthly magazine dedicated to Once Upon a Time I thought it was pretty silly. How could they make a monthly magazine about a single weekly TV show? Eventually I remembered that I'd actually given up on Once Upon a Time about four episodes into Season Two. I hadn't re-watched Season One, and too much happened too quickly in the first few episodes that I had trouble following the show from week to week.

Summary: A lot of this season is taken up with the Alice In Wonderland theme. There is, of course, a pretty good reason for this. There will be a spin-off series in the fall that centers on that tale and its characters. I suspect it will also grow to include other tales and events. The cast looks solid, and I’m interested to see where this one goes. Fans think they have their own ideas, but “magic is so unpredictable in this world”.
Once Upon a Time: The Complete Second Season Blu-ray Review

Summary: Once upon a time, there was a brave little series from ABC. Wide-eyed, excitable and full of hope, it stayed out of the shadows most television fantasy favors and embraced somewhat lighter, more thematically fanciful fare. Darkness still lurked in the surrounding forests, of course, where sinister queens and evil imps prowled. But Storybrooke was more a land of magical fairytales than bloody swords-and-dragons fantasies, and the little series was safe. Too safe .
