  • Conclusion: Like many of their Miramax reissues, Lionsgate's Blu-ray for My Left Foot is a bit perfunctory. The film, however, is outstanding and remains one of Daniel Day-Lewis's greatest screen roles. If you're pondering an upgrade, this release is pretty much a push. If you've never seen or owned this film, this disc comes . What Do You Think?

  • Conclusion: Anyone wanting a textbook example of superb film acting need look no further than My Left Foot . Daniel Day Lewis and Brenda Fricker are both absolutely mercurial in demanding roles, and few will make it through this film without feeling like they've weathered an emotional gauntlet right along with the fortitudinous Brown family. The video here is watchable if not optimal, and the audio is fine.

  • Conclusion: Director Jim Sheridan's My Left Foot is a deeply moving film with some absolutely phenomenal performances. It is currently available on Blu-ray only in the United Kingdom courtesy of ITV Studios Global Entertainment. I think that there is room for some important improvements, but until a better release arrives on the market this Region-B release is indeed easy to recommend. RECOMMENDED.
