Summary: A modern day tale of the likes of Tom Sawyer and Huckleberry Finn confronting a wanted man, amongst the southern wild. Clever writing and stunning performances, explore the muddy definition of love. The two boys would stand by each other, no matter what. Their coming of age, on the subject of love, is further strengthened by one of Matthew’s bests performance to date.
Excerpt: Jeff Nichols' dramatic tale showcases Matthew McConaughey's talent to act as well as deliver one of the best films 2013 has to offer. Film itself aside, the blu-ray's video quality is impressive and this release's strongest element. Audio quality is solid but leaves room for some improvement and extras are decent. Not great, but satisfactory. Overall the movie is worth collecting but snag the blu-ray if you can get it at a decent price.
Summary: Wow this is a good film. The 2 small kids are exceptional Tye Sheridan in particular. McConaughy is now choosing excellent roles and he gets better and better. Nice to see Witherspoon acting her chops off too.
