  • Summary: Nefarious villain Megamind manages to destroy his good-guy rival... then finds life is pretty boring without a foil. He creates a new hero, Titan, to defeat only to have turn evil and threaten the world, meaning Megamind must step up to be the hero for once. This movie takes the superhero story and turn it a new story with the villain winning. the movie has jokes that didn't do it for me and the animation by dreamworks was good like always.

  • Summary: 'Megamind' is a fun twist on the superhero genre. I enjoyed the characters and the humor very much. The story has some unforeseen turns. It's full of action, great voice talent, and memorable 80's tunes.

Megamind vs Metro Man

GMLSKIS, blu-ray.com
20 March 2013
  • Excerpt: I love this movie and it is very funny. I can't understand the video rating from the main reviewer. I just got a brand new Samsung LED TV and this looks as good or better than any Bu I have ever watched. The audio is also top notch with great rock music mixed in. No digital copy but different ways to watch the movie, a dvd copy and lots of extras. The main extra is a mini movie that lasts around 15 minutes.

Megamind... will blow your mind! Fun fun fun!

MovieAddict, FilmCrave
3 April 2012
  • Excerpt: The plot is about two babies from a planet that develops creatures with strength and powers beyond that of humans. They both were saved from the destruction of their respective planets by small spacecrafts destined for earth. Metro-Man (Brad Pitt) ends up in the home of a loving family, and the blue-skinned, chrome-domed alien Megamind (Will Farrell) ends up in a prison for the mentally insane.

Childish Humor Drags Down a Fun Family Film

Mandalorian, blu-ray.com
22 September 2011
  • Excerpt: Film Rating: 7/10 Megamind has been called a cheap imitation due to its similarities to The Incredibles and Despicable Me. I don't think that's fair. First and foremost, it isn't very similar to Despicable Me at all, unless you want to say every single story told from a villain's perspective is also an imitation. If not, then that's where Megamind and Despicable Me's likeness end.

  • Summary: While there isn't anything very new or exciting here, this is an enjoyable enough film that would be a good choice for family night as, even with the somewhat recycled plot, it was still entertaining.

  • Summary: This was good enough. It has good comedy and a fun plot but its weakness is in its predictability. you can tell what will happen next. all the same it is good enough to be watched during family time. The kids will love it and the old folks will be okay with it. The plot is common to many movies, and you can love it for its being old school. it obviously topped the animation charts of 2010.

  • Summary: Entertaining enough family film, aimed squarely at the kiddos with enough humor and story to keep the adults interested. True, it's a story that's been told countless times before, some for the better, some for the worst, but it's still entertaining for a watch. I can't see it being remembered 5 years from now, but in looking back at all the animated films of 2010, I'd say this is in the upper half.

Can a villain become a hero?

Steve46, blu-ray.com
20 May 2011
  • Excerpt: Megamind (animation, action, comedy) Directed by Tom McGrath Starring the voices of Will Ferrell, Tina Fey, Brad Pitt and Jonah Hill Hollywood has made more than its fair share of superhero movies since Superman (1978) was released, but the genre remains one of the most popular. Viewers, especially in North America, enjoy recapturing childhood memories and seeing their heroes on the big screen. Most of the plots are predictable, but that doesn’t detract from the fun.
