Excerpt: Oh thank the movie gods for Steven Seagal and his classic movies he did in his prime. Gone are the days of Above the Law, Hard to Kill, Under Siege and Out for Justice. These days we get direct to video crud often tormented by many cutaway shots of Seagal fighting and bad ADR work. Maximum Conviction doesn't suffer as badly as some of his other efforts but that ain't saying much.
Excerpt: This movie for me was a blind buy I got for $5 minus a used DVD in Best Buy's upgrade program. I'm glad I didn't pay more as it wasn't as good as I hoped for. I would definitely call this more of a rental than a buy type movie. I love most of the Steven Seagal movies like the Under Siege ones. The movie started out very slow but picked up and ended okay with lots of action although very predictable on the outcome and plot. The video and audio were good but not great.
Excerpt: After a slow 30 mins this film delivers plenty of action involving shootouts and hand to hand combat. Seagal fans like myself will know what your in for and should enjoy it. Non fans should really just rent. I did not notice any voice dubbing that used to pop up in his previous films. He shares the screen time with Steve Austin who seems to get the most witty one liners to speak.
Conclusion: Its great to see action master Steven Seagal is still knocking out films for his fans at his age, yeah, yeah he's old and bit overweight now big deal, he's still one cool guy and a legendary action star, this is a very cool movie which he stars along Steve Austin who is also a cool tough guy hero, the story is simple but delivers the goods with plenty of violence on both parts, I would say they have kind of equal share of the screen.
Summary: Oder: Die B-Riege rollt an So cool!
