Conclusion: So, I see you got this far in the review. Perhaps there are people that are interested in this movie (that, or you're really bored at work). In that case let's just say that this is another pointless DTV action movie with one has-been and one never-was.
Excerpt: Two Steves are better than one! Director by Keoni Waxman worked with Steven Seagal in A Dangerous Man and with Steve Austin on Hunt To Kill so it sort of made sense that he’d pair the two up to co-star in an action movie at some point in time.
Conclusion: It doesn't require a doctorate in film to realize that Maximum Conviction may be the epitome of the brainless shooter. One look at the box says all one really needs to ascertain what's inside (nothing like truth in advertising). The film substitutes music for drama and muscle for brains.
Conclusion: In its better moments, Maximum Conviction was more watchable than I expected it to be, but it still has very little going for it on the whole. Dark, violent, tough to warm to, and occasionally hard to follow, this will play to a very narrow audience.
