Excerpt: Recommended for fans only. Note: Technically speaking, "MacGruber" on Blu-ray offers up quite a suitable presentation. However, strength of transfer aside, I just couldn't get over how profanely vulgar this film is.
Excerpt: I'll start of by declaring my fandome of Saturday Night Live, which admittedly has its highs and lows...very lows. I started watching the show when I was in high school, during which the cast still included Kristen Wiig and Will Forte who starred in the MacGruber skits, and likewise star in this...
Excerpt: MacGruber was a box office flop and received good reviews from critics, but the non-critic (average movie watchers), just bagged on it calling it a terrible movie, like Machete. If you ask somebody if they saw "Machete" and they'll probably tell you how terrible it was - which it most certainly...
Excerpt: MacGruber was a lot of fun, the humor's not for everyone. However, for the people that do find it funny, they will find it hilarious. The cast is great, they never take their roles too seriously and they are very funny. The PQ is amazing. It is very clean and sharp, you will not be disappointed.
Excerpt: I scoffed when I first heard they were making a Macgruber movie but, I have to admit it's pretty damn funny. I'm not one that is easily amused either. The picture and sound quality are both very good.
Summary: Movies based on Saturday Night Live sketches have a rough history with very few of them being anything but awful. The last good SNL film was almost 20 years ago with WAYNE'S WORLD and it's sequel in 1992/1993.
much better than critics or reviewers tend to believe

Summary: just watched this, after many told me not to. got to say that it was well worth it. forget what every review and critic has said about this film. it's just silly fun and should be enjoyed as such.
Excerpt: Plot: (well.. ).. The movie starts off in the desert where a bunch of dead people are lying around. Then immediately we are introduced to the movies villain, Von Cunth (Val Kilmer). Who stole a very powerful Nuclear Warhead. Then we see Powers Boothe (not playing a villain this time..!!!!
Summary: I saw this movie last night and it was absolutely hilarious. I wasn't a fan of the sketch on SNL and was scared off by the poor reviews and its box office failure, but let me tell you this movie is really, really funny. I suppose its not for all tastes and it was a lot raunchier than I anticipated.
