Summary: The story is about A man who works as a "looper" - a hitman sent targets from the mob in the future - realizes his latest hit is his future self. okay this is going to be a short review of this movie so let's go.this movie has good acting and great directing.
Summary: Looper is a really good sci-fi/action thriller. Although the second half of the film tapers off towards the end, the film is held together by a solid concept, great direction, and good performances, even if some things are left unanswered.
Excerpt: Looper: 4.5/5 Short Synopsis: A hit man who kills people from the future encounters the future version of himself. This movie is excellent in my opinion. Where to start is the question. Well for one the acting. Joseph Gordon Levitt is especially sharp playing a young Bruce Willis. He has that bad ass hit man vibe that Willis is known so well for.
Excerpt: In a future where time travel has been invented and outlawed, it is used solely by a criminal organisation who use it to "disappear" undesirables into the past where they are disposed of by hired killers called "loopers". I was very much looking forward to Rian Johnson's foray into science fiction, being a big fan of his two previous films both of which were similar genre homages.
Excerpt: Rian Johnson with the haunting score of his brother Nathan, brings a sci-fi film that might be slightly down the level, may be due to the budget. Looper is a different film that sticks mainly upon few characters both in past and future. This is not like cloud atlas connecting the past and present, but it is a different idea of time travel, to bring the past and future in the same frame.
Summary: As far as "sci-fi" films go, In todays age they are getting better. Not confusing or so unbelieveable its hard to watch. It's exciting. Pause it when I get up, so I don't miss a thing proves to me that it was a worthy new kind of sci-fi film. Levitt's makeup, interesting. Storyline, fun. Action, memorable. That's important.
Summary: Excellent movie with depth and creative inspiration. The Acting is awesome and whoever put the cast together did it well. Pierce Gagnon is going to be a gift to the big screen for many years ahead. See it and then watch it again you will not be sorry.
Summary: A breath of fresh air after a disappointing summer for mainstream releases. Rian Johnson's Looper is an exhilarating time-travel/sci-fi action flick. But it's at it's best when it deals with the human drama and twists involved therein. The performances are great across the board. Filled with plenty of suspense, fast pacing, and style to spare. Looper is simply one of the best releases so far this year. You won't be able to take a breath until the lights come up.
Summary: I want to say right off the bat that Looper was one of the best films I have seen this year. An original movie that leaves you thinking, not in disappointment but just lets you go over the movie again and again. I went to bed last night thinking about it, and woke up this morning thinking about it. I love when a movie makes me do that. A movie about choices, right and wrong and the consequenses of your actions... Fantasticly done!
Excerpt: "We live the good life and the only rule is never let your target escape, even if your target is you." An unexpected awesome film with a very solid cast and wonderful premise. In the future, a mutation has occurred in a percentage of the population giving them telekinetic powers while organized crime have almost ceased power. Joe (Willis and Gordon-Levitt) has a friend Seth (Dano) who doesn't close a loop. The Rainmaker and an old future self will be involved with Joe.
