Excerpt: The Blu-ray is pretty much poor: static and silent menu, only English subtitles (sometimes badly translated from Italian) ,the extras are terrible, The Making of is a joke (it is everything except a Making Of and shows nothing about the film production, only refers to the international acclaim of the picture and Benigni's past carrer), not to mention the bonuses are all in standard definition. The oscars trailers are completely pintless in my opinion.
Excerpt: As far as I can tell this is identical to the Canadian release other than the lack of French subtitles and a different English only cover. This is a good transfer, much better than the DVD. The English subtitles do not cover the small amount of spoken German, but the Canadian is the same. Buy whichever is cheaper unless you need the French subtitles.
Excerpt: First I have to say that I love this movie and wanted to have it for a long time. When I discovered it was available on blu-ray I couldn't stop myself. I didn't watch the whole movie yet but I noticed sometime very annoying and distracting at least in the first 3 chapters. I don't know if I'm crazy but it keeps "jumping" (by small amounts) on a regular pattern that dis-concentrate me.
