Excerpt: A movie from the 90's that has visual effects better than some of the movies today. My God. Jurassic Park is another Spielberg staple. It has all the fun and adventure, big life feeling and the John Williams score blazing through majestic shots. There is not a lot to say about this movie, other than that it is fun. It can make anyone happy, that is Spielberg's talent; he knows how to entertain properly.
Summary: One of the all-time great adventure films of the 90's. This is Spielberg at the top of his game - churning out an adrenaline-packed, funny, charming, and awe-inspiring action film with a little something for everybody. The dinosaur effects are impressive and the crazy world of Jurassic Park (a world that, let's face it, we all wished we could inhabit as a kid) is brought to life with a host of technical and artistic elements working together.
Summary: Highly imaginative and entertaining dinosaur adventure. The effects hold up amazingly well to this day. The most memorable moments still generate the same feelings of wonder and excitement that I felt on the first viewing. It's a flat-out fun thrill ride! One of my all-time favorite movies! This is what all 'monster movies' should strive to reach.
Excerpt: I for one was always fascinated with dinosaurs as a kid. This is one of several milestones of Steven Spielberg. A novel based film; I felt that there was not a single figure was attention-grabbing. Dr. John Hammond" (Richard Attenborough) was like a babbling geek, Dr. Alan Grant (Sam Neil) was too serious, Dr. Ellie Sattler (Lauren Dern) wasn’t that pretty/charming enough and the vexing Dr. Ian Malcom (Jeff Goldblum) just kept complaining too much.
Summary: This movie did exactly what it was meant to do: capture my imagination. ever since seeing it at age two, I've been facinated by dinosaurs. As I got older the movie still had alot to offer in terms of philosophical insights and such. One of my favorites.
Excerpt: In 1993, JURASSIC PARK broke box office records and set a new high for an action adventure film. Garnishing nominations for several Academy Awards, this film went on to become one of the greatest box office smashes in cinematic history. The film stars Sam Neill, Laura Dern, Jeff Goldblum, Bob Peck, Martin Ferrero, B.D. Wong, Samuel L. Jackson, Wayne Knight, Joseph Mazzello, Ariana Richards, and Richard Attenborough.
Summary: If I could give this film another four stars, I would. Steven Speilberg, as always, delivers what was dubbed "the blockbuster." Based on one of my favorite books by Michael Crichton, "Jurassic Park" is one of the best-written, best-performed, best-thrilling films I have ever seen. With special effects made in 1993 that still work today, this is by far one of the coolest films I have seen. A childhood memory and a future adoration, "Jurassic Park" scores huge!
Summary: This is probably the best done monster movie ever (I know they are dinosaurs, but that isn't a type of movie). It is also a fairly family friendly movie, which is impressive. The first time is of course the best, but it does hold up for rewatching. I think it is a movie everyone needs to see just for the silly fun of the idea and the good jumps it provides. The sequels are all pretty disappointing so stick to the original.
