Very Good Concert!
25 January 2010
Excerpt: I have been a George Michael fan since I was 14 yrs old and I have seen him 3 times in concert. This BD looked very good on my Kuro with the awesome blacks throughout the show and my sub got one hell of a work out during the fast paced tunes.
Summary: Excellent DVD focusing on George Michael in Concert. shows George dressed, undressed, travelling, his stage set, his entourage, his sense of humor, and best of all his singing and his band. George Michael is truly one of the most gifted artists of all time and he is my personal favorite.
Excerpt: Video is great, audio is good, albeit bass-heavy, but the disc itself is a waste. While I am not a George Michael purist, I do enjoy his music. However, since when did he go from a musician to a performer?
Excerpt: It is a pitty that they used not enough lightness, what is essential for Blu-Ray. Often George is in a sort of shade caused by the lightness behind him. Also close-ups of George face are missing. Maybe on his request? As Stereo listener satisfied. Eric
Excerpt: bought George Michael Live in London and received it yesterday, did a quick run on it as well with my initial impressions being - exceptional video quality. definitely one helluva choice for eye candy. comparative to Celine Dions Live in Las Vegas, without celine.
Conclusion: Just that - The guy is pretty much better live than on track and a lot can be said for that with all the 'Lip-syncing' going about these days. Brilliant light show, super HD sound from Blu Ray and great quality picture.
Conclusion: I echo the previous review - I also went to see George on many occasions and had the time of my life, each time! This is bound to delight any George fan, he put on a great show and each time it was slightly different. I'd recommend to those of you new to George Michael.
Conclusion: Love him or hate him, George is one of the world's most talented singer/songwriters and this performance at Earls Court was the best of a 3 year long World Tour. Trust me I know, I saw him 31 times and that wasn't enough!!
Conclusion: I went to see George Michael at Wembley Stadium and I have to say that the show was out of this world. He has to have the best voice for when it comes to singing live. The stage, backing singers, lighting... everything was just brilliant. The print and sound on the Blu ray is unbelievable.
