Excerpt: This review is of the blu-ray 3D presentation, not of the movie itself. The picture quality was quite good, colors are very vibrant and the picture is clear. I know if you're reading this you're primarily focused on the 3D element and honestly, the 3D was quite good! Depth is convincing throughout, however, there are a handful of scenes that appear to lack any sense of depth, but those scenes are very limited. The out of screen 3D effects work very well here.
Excerpt: To call 'G.I. Joe: Retaliation' a sequel is a bit misleading. Really, it's an apology. After years of development and countless false starts, a live action adaptation of the hugely-popular 1980s G.I. Joe toy line finally came to cinema screens in 2009 titled 'G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra'.
Excerpt: G.I. Joe - Retaliation is part sequel & reboot to the semi-spectacular G.I. Joe - The Rise of Cobra. Some of the other more regular Joe's make their debut's such as Lady Jayne, Flint and Roadblock. Having Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson as Roadblock adds the extra muscle that lacked in the first Joe movie. The action is more realistic and grounded rather then slow-mo 360% moves that 'Rise of Cobra' featured.
Excerpt: To me this wasn't quite as good as the last one but still exciting and fun to watch. You do get exceptional AQ & PQ. I just wished I would have rewatched the first movie before watching this because I was a little lost at the start. In extras you get a commentary and over 1 hour of bonus content. Included is a dvd but no on disc digital copy just the UV in the cloud version.
