Excerpt: Fright Night is just plain fun. Thrills, chills and wisecracks abound in this slick, smart, playful remix of the much loved original cult classic. It's suspenseful and scary but not too much so - I definitely wouldn't call this a horror film. There are maybe 3 "scary" scenes that had my wife covering her 3D glasses (and also covering the lenses in fingerprints - which, thank god and microfiber cloth, happen to wipe away rather easily).
Summary: After hearing that Colin Farrell was going to be cast in yet another reboot this time of 80's classic 'Fright Night' was a little speculative if it was going to be any good and much to my chagrin it in deed was! Excerpt: After reading the official review I didn't have high hopes for Fright Night 3D when inserting it into my player but I can say that I was impressed and my jaw was on the floor at several times. The Film: The film is brilliant. The humour and horror are blended brilliantly and David Tennant steals the show. Not wanting to spoil the movie I can say that a moment about hafway into the film involving Tennant and a panic room is hilarious.
Summary: I usually don't like the remake of a movie over the original but not this time.Compared to the original Fright Night this version was better.I was definitely more into this movie than the 1985 Fright Night.It did stay close to the original but it was more updated & for some reason even though I HATE vampire flicks, I was into it from the start.I'm also not a fan of Colin Farrell at all but he was great as the evil vampire next door
