Excerpt: Being a fan of the series I was excited to see this one. To me it was the first one that had a plot other then just racing cars(which I like). They took several cast members from previous Fast movies and showed how they link together rather then just following one person in different scenarios. Also adding Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson brought in a whole new group of fans. Having such a well known addition made the film stand out even more to me.
Excerpt: It's sort of rare for a Hollywood films series to have its best entry with its 5th film. This movie is an entertaining, muscular, and fun action movie that revitalizes the tired F&F franchise. The series gets a rather big shot in the arm from The Rock, showing up as one of the film's antagonists (whose character arc is all too predictable). He lends some much needed intensity and drive to the film.
Richard Corliss (TIME) was right, Best in the series.

Excerpt: You think you know the franchise... big mistake. The 5th entry into this franchise has got to be the best one. Who knew a 5th sequel could be better then all the originals. We have got the original cast (except Michelle Rodriguez who is missed) who shine together. Plus we have characters from other sequels thrown into the film at the halfway point. Everybody has great chemistry in this one. The story is why I gave the film a rating of (4) instead of a (5).
Excerpt: As an avid fan of this series, I was really excited for this movie after Vin Diesel returned for the 4th installment. The movie and story were well executed and kept my attention throughout which is something the other sequels failed to do (especially Tokoyo Drift). Fast Five kicked adrenaline back into this franchise by bringing on Dwayne Johnson. His character added a needed element to this movie that most movies lack...INTENSITY!
Excerpt: THis is by far the best FF movie yet! The PQ and AQ are really spectacular, but really the audio takes the cake in this movie, all the loud cars, explosions and fight scenes really hit hard! If you havent seen any of the other FF movies and want to see this one you can! You dont have to see any of the others to get the story, the only thing youll be missing is the Character backgrounds which are covered in the first 4 movies.
Excerpt: Movie - 4.5 So I hadn't seen a single Fast & Furious movie prior to this. But I was browsing through Best Buy for my copies of other titles that came out that day when I saw the BB exclusive SteelBook edition. So for the first time in a while, I made a blind-buy based solely on the aforementioned packaging and the fact that The Rock was in it.
Excerpt: As goofy and unrealistic as they are, there is a certain level of charm that the Fast series carries with it. Between the downright absurd situations that Brian, Dom, and company are put in, to the non traditional timelines the movies have their stories told, the movies are always pure entertainment, so check your brain at the play button.
Excerpt: This movie rocks...one of the best summer flicks to come out this year..The plot nor acting isn't bad. I'm glad to see them tone down on the CGI for this film...Don't me wrong, I like the F&F movies before, but the CGI was overkill...The best action scenes in the movie (as great as they were) took place outside the hi end cars...I can see why this movie made near $600M in the boxoffice. Good job all around... "GET THIS MOVIE"..
Excerpt: This Fast Five5 is interesting and definitely packs a punch. a non stop action right from start to finish a typical FF... but this one goes one step further in terms of effects, stunts..etc. Picture a rock solid 5 star. Audio .....Hold On....get ready for a onslought from all the directions...packs a punch. LFE rocks.....not too boomy but perfect.
