Excerpt: Expendables gave us action stars recouping their prime, two films (so far) of warranted gun blaring idiocy with ingrained fan service. This morphed Fast franchise is a modern spin on Expendables , blending names like Vin Diesel, Dwayne Johnson, and Paul Walker. Only now we’re progressive, with an embedding of female fight stars including Michelle Rodriguez and Gina Carano.
Conclusion: This sixth entry in the Fast and the Furious series rekindles the joyous energy and camaraderie of previous films, with cast members Vin Diesel, Paul Walker, Tyrese Gibson, Chris Bridges, Michelle Rodriguez, Jordana Brewster and Dwayne Johnson all returning for this blockbuster outing. The crew goes to London to track an international criminal in hopes of earning their freedom, and the action is over-the-top exciting.
Summary: Fans of the 'Fast and Furious' franchise who were eagerly awaiting the Blu-ray release of 'Fast & Furious 6' had their enthusiasm dampened when news broke that franchise star Paul Walker had died in fiery car accident. Subsequently, Universal has announced that "a percentage of proceeds from the upcoming home entertainment release of 'Fast & Furious 6' will be donated to Paul Walker’s non-profit, Reach Out WorldWide, a network of professionals with first responder...
Conclusion: It's impossible to watch Fast & Furious 6 without seeing it in a completely different light. It's always strange to watch a film after an actor has died, particularly in cases like this in which circumstances surrounding that death are similar to events depicted on screen. Still, Walker helped make the Fast & Furious franchise the success that it is.
Excerpt: In Fast 5 Dominic Toretto (Vin Diesel) and his friends has to take on agent Luke Hobbs (Dwayne Johnson) as well as a Brazilian drug lord. That Hobbs doesn’t like people who get kids addicted ended up nicely for Teretto and towards the end of the movie the two hadn’t become friends, but they did have some sort of Mutual respect. And that Mutual respect is something Hobbs can use very well now in Fast & Furious 6.
Excerpt: Though it's constantly insinuated and alluded to, death comes to no one in the world of Fast & Furious —that is, unless someone is heedlessly evil or, well, European. Serious injuries are shrugged off, as the innumerable neck braces and casts would put a damper on the awesomeness at hand. Characters are constantly reincarnated and reintroduced with only a modicum of fanfare and even less logic, and to a degree, this is the entire point.
Excerpt: Any franchise risks devolving into self-parody by the time the sixth installment comes around, but very few manage to make that a virtue the way Fast and Furious 6 does. The series that seemed like the definition of disposable for its first four installments took a surprising turn with the gigantic and exhilarating Fast Five , which took a page from the Marvel playbook and united all the previous characters for one crazy heist film.
Excerpt: Fast & Furious 6 is equal parts Ocean’s movie, Road Runner cartoon, and WWE SmackDown . In other words, it’s more or less the same movie as its predecessor, 2011’s Fast Five —a surprise commercial and critical hit that didn’t so much reinvigorate the Fast & Furious franchise as reinvent it.
Summary: Jeg var supergodt underholdt med denne film. Måske også en smule overrasket over, at serien kan holde sig oppe. Action hele vejen og mindre biljagte kombineret med mere handling, i forhold til nogle af de øvrige i serien, giver thumbs up.
