Excerpt: With the buzz around it before its release was rather excited to see 'Elysium' because I was blown away by Neill Blomkamp's ‘District 9’; it was technically brilliant for its low budget and emotionally wrenching and thrillingly brutal in its action. With that film’s critical success, Blomkamp was given a bigger budget and creative freedom to make his next sci-fi masterpiece. My expectations were pretty high but I think that cause me to enjoy the movie less.
Excerpt: movie written by o produced by harry directed by nancy 2154 la is mexico and the bad rich white people living the good life above earth in a space station. letting the poor people on earth to die of hunger and sickness.
Excerpt: after the surprise sleeper hit District 19, writer/director Niel Blomkamp's follow-up film Elysium takes the viewers on another futuristic journey to Earth of 2154 by which it is on the verge of health disaster but high in the sky is the orbiting Elysium space station where the elite folk live free of death & destruction.
Excerpt: "Elysium", writer/director Neill Blomkamp's second feature-length title, takes a more literal approach to some of the humanistic themes explored in his 2009 feature debut "District 9". The result is a more traditionally structured film with a predictable (and somewhat flawed) plot, but it's also an exciting, emotionally involving trip into a frighteningly plausible (and vividly realized) future nonetheless.
