Excerpt: the mains reasons for seeing this film are the excellent calming (planet earth grade) cinematography, and halle berry, its basically like a slightly better or equal version of "into the blue", the script and acting aren't great, but i like to think of it as a friday the 13th style, where the characters and their story aren't that important as the impending disaster which is the main draw, halle's character isn't that bad it's only when she starts talking Swahili it makes...
Summary: Great and realistic shots of sharks, but the movie is amiss because it fails to create the suspense it should have. I don't think the script was strong enough, or was it the direction that failed to capture the thrill it should have, hard to pick. The cast was certainly good enough and the shooting of the sharks was so good I doubt anyone can complain about that.
Excerpt: Another shark film, another blind buy for me. Not as bad as the critics said I thought. This is not JAWS and does not try to do anything unrealistic involving the sharks. The film at times has some superb photography of human interaction with Great Whites. A lot of scenes are genuinely dark and murky which adds to some of the tension in the shark scenes.
Conclusion: the wait for a moment or two of tension is far too long.....and hardly worth the wait in truth........very dissapointing especially as 'halle berry' ''stars'' in the movie ( not her finest moment ) you may wanna give this a ''miss''
