Excerpt: ...because I haven't hated a movie this much in a long time. This review was written after watching only ten minutes of the film. This movie managed to be appallingly awful in those ten minutes. First, we have a cameraman who shoots on a Canon XL-1 in widescreen and HD. I own two Canon XL-1s, and let me just say that the picture quality isn't exactly theatrical (although 28 DAYS LATER... actually did use XL-1s).
Summary: If you liked Cloverfield, this is your type of movie. If you do not like a movie that looks like it was shot on a hand held camera, avoid. Plot etc would have been great if shot as a normal film, really looses it with the cloverfield/Blair Witch film style. Would be a value at $2-5, not at $15. If your into Sci-fi, save your money, there is better entertainment out there.
Summary: The storyline was interesting, as was the character development. The flight scenes were great. But it is all filmed via handy cam from a kid that looks ill and is so shaky I got motion sickness in the first minute and never recovered. Add the flickering lights and I ended up with a major headache. Not fun.
