Summary: A heart wrenching movie based off a true story. Angelina Jolie was excellent in her role as Christine Collins a distraught mother who's son is missing. Changeling is truly a heartbreaking film.
Summary: The movie is good, the acting is good, the story is good, it is almost a great movie, however I felt that the movie lacked some kind of an element that left the movie incomplete. The movie is not boring it is filled with suspense and will keep you on the edge guessing the sanity of some characters.
Summary: I was pleasantly surprised by this movie. Well directed, as you would expect from Eastwood, but I was mostly endeared by Jolies performance. Not quite Oscar standard but impressive none the less. The rest of the cast are adequate but, John Malkovich aside, there are no strong characters.
Summary: A very strong drama with little to complain about. It combines two of my favorite genres of film: Drama and Thriller. I adore it to every minute. Never a boring part. Yes, some useless parts, but people with a heart will enjoy it.
Excerpt: MOVIE (5): Changeling is one of the greatest movies from 2008. It has a good story, great acting, nice period art direction, excelent cinematography... besides, it is well developed. Is one of the few movies in which there is not much to complain.
Excerpt: Clint Eastwood seems to be pumping out award-winning dramas one after another these days, and although this one seems a bit long, it's still quite good. Based on a couple of real-life events, the story is good and thrilling, and moves at an acceptable pace.
Excerpt: When it comes to Clint Eastwood in the director's chair, he knows a good story and how to tell it on film. And in this case, the period drama Changeling is no exception. Changeling is, no doubt, the most challenging film of 2008. The film is emotionally gripping, and at times disturbing.
