Summary: Carrie should join the X-men. if you have seen the original movie then you will not be happy with this movie, because it is the same story and you know was is going to happen, they is nothing new here. The writing in the movie was a bit Odd and the acting was fine. "Not a terrible remake just a forgettable one".
Excerpt: The story revolves around Carrie White (Sissy Spacek), whose mother is a deranged prayerful mother who is overly protective. Shows some dated aspects in terms of the horror genre and pace was a bit sluggish. Camera direction was tedious to a fault that it tends to becomes its weakness, especially the dizzying show where Carrie dances in the prom.
Summary: Sissy Spacek's performance is what pulls this film out of 70's horror schlock, as she convincingly plays a disturbed and ridiculed girl. She plays what might amount to a film villain by some and yet, by her vulnerable performance, manages to create a level of sympathy. Also, early John Travolta sighting!
Summary: One of the better Stephen King adaptations. Sissy Spacek is a perfect choice for Carrie and the supporting cast is also good. Plus it has one of the best endings - the first time seeing it is a true shocker.
