Excerpt: MPEG-2 transfer with no detail at all just tons of grain. I bet original mono sound would have been better then this non-sense 5.1 DTS-HD MA, gimmi a break. Good movie but buy rather the DVD then this joke of a BD and save yourself money.
Excerpt: The story revolves around Carrie White (Sissy Spacek), whose mother is a deranged prayerful mother who is overly protective. Shows some dated aspects in terms of the horror genre and pace was a bit sluggish.
Summary: Sissy Spacek's performance is what pulls this film out of 70's horror schlock, as she convincingly plays a disturbed and ridiculed girl. She plays what might amount to a film villain by some and yet, by her vulnerable performance, manages to create a level of sympathy.
Excerpt: The transfer is below average. The audio mix, well it's not really all that mixed. Then again, there's not much you can do with a mono track to bring it to 5.1 channels. An enjoyable film though. I liked it.
Summary: One of the better Stephen King adaptations. Sissy Spacek is a perfect choice for Carrie and the supporting cast is also good. Plus it has one of the best endings - the first time seeing it is a true shocker.
Totalt: 3/5.
