CARRIE in a good transfer, but no extras to speak of...

Excerpt: Stylized horror classic by Brian DePalma get an okay Blu-Ray treatment. I disagree somewhat with the official review of CARRIE here. The transfer shows fine detail throughout and, although grainy in many scenes, I always prefer this authentic look to a heavily DNR'd treatment.
Excerpt: I saw this in other formats. I am only reviewing to say, that this movie is way better than the remake. I saw the remake in theater, and man the mother was so annoying, that I almost left the theater. I would get this Blu-Ray over the remake one any day.
Excerpt: I dont like remakes very much, in fact I avoid them when I can, but there are a few I do like and this is one of them. I think this Carrie is much better then the original. PQ and Audio is very good and the extras were also good. This was a blind buy and in the end worth it in my book.
Excerpt: First off, this is not a horror film at all. It is a movie set in this time which is about high school and bullies. Today all we hear about on the news is about how someone bullied another student to make them kill themselves or shot someone in school or whatever.
Excerpt: MPEG-2 transfer with no detail at all just tons of grain. I bet original mono sound would have been better then this non-sense 5.1 DTS-HD MA, gimmi a break. Good movie but buy rather the DVD then this joke of a BD and save yourself money.
