Summary: Kristen Wiig has put herself on the map with this one, along with Melissa McCarthy and Rose Byrne. Braidesmaids is not just a chick-flick. It is a well-written comedy that will go down in history as a memorable film. It's great to see some women get a chance to break out and show what they can do.
Summary: One of the films that can go on my newly appointed wayy over rated movies of all time! As i have said quite frequently on my movie reviews that i'm glad i dont trust other reviewers views on the films i want to see as this time they were once again wrong!
Excerpt: I remember seeing only small bits of it in the beginning and thinking, ugh this movie doesn't look to great. Than afterwards I wanted to give it a chance, but again didn't have time to watch more than just pieces and bits, thus still not liking it.
Excerpt: I must admit, I was always just catching bits and pieces of this movie on cable, but finally after really sitting down with a showing from start to finish and then watching it over again, I really became hooked. I'm generally pretty brutal when it comes to newer raunchy, silly movies.
Excerpt: Synopsis: Thirty-something Annie is financially-strapped after the bakery she owned went bust, she hates her new job, and she hates the unsatisfying sexual relationship she's in but which she can't bring herself to end.
Summary: This movie is really funny! Kristen Wiig really shows that she can lead a movie here. There are some really good performances and laugh out loud moments. I probably wouldn't watch it with the family, but it's a great movie to watch with friends late at night.
Summary: I enjoyed some parts of this movie but not others. I think that in an effort to appeal to male audiences as well, the writers went a little over the top. I'm all for gross out comedy, but it just isn't that funny at times.
