Summary: I bought this for my daughter for her 30th birthday. She loves Breaking Bad and has the first 3 seasons. I hope SHE likes it. That's all that matters. I had to ship it to her in the mail because I live down south and she lives up north. She doesn't have it yet.
Summary: As much as some people love to be critics about tv shows as they progress, I can't help but ignore them and love the fourth season of breaking bad. Both Jesse and Walt have great character development throughout the season. The season finale leaves you wondering where can they possibly go from here. I honestly think the fourth season looks great on blu-ray. I highly recommend this season.
Excerpt: What a lousy encode! Probably the worst HD transfer I've ever seen from Sony. I've seen TV broadcasts look way better than that. Banding, excessive filtering resulting in no detail and motion inconsistencies like I haven't seen since the DVD ages. A few sequences look OK though, like Season 3 did... which makes the viewing experience even more frustrating.
Excerpt: I'll leave this pretty short. Yes, the video quality is pretty uneven. At times it's flat, smeary and murkey then the next minute it will be stunning and yes it is a pretty big step back from Season 3 overall, which was a gorgeous, crisp, clear and almost perfect looking image however the audio is still phenomenal BUT the extra's are why I'm writing a user review here. The US release seems to have the most bonus features by far.
Excerpt: This was one of the oddest visual viewing experiences I've had with a Blu-ray. There were multiple scenes in each episode that almost made me ill. What would happen... the camera would be a bit bumpy in high-contrast lighting, and I'd find that parts of the screen would jiggle asynchronously with the rest of the picture. Sometimes the window frame behind a character would bob up and down while the character remained more stationary.
