Summary: Is it just me or the title of this movie is called brave just like brave heart. Okay I was not looking forward to this movie just because the trailer's don't look good but did the movie suck well I can say no. this movie had some of the best animated effect's of 2012.
Excerpt: Which I used heavily from about half way through. Such a nothing story. Gee, I turned mum into a bear....... Boring 3D - nothing much comes out of the screen - it's depth only which is fine but hey, guys, this is an animated film and a few trick shots would have been fun. Fortunately it was cheap.
Summary: While Brave is certainly smarter than your average animated film, it nonetheless lacks the charm that permeates nearly every other Pixar film. It's still a very solid film that features some fantastic voice work, but Pixar has yet to return to its true form of masterful animation filmmaking.
Summary: 'Brave' is a decent animated flick that is brought down by a cliched story, boring characters, and poor humor. There are some creative touches sprinkled throughout, but nothing significant to make it rise above mediocrity. Such a shame, because from viewing the trailer, it looked like it had potential.
Excerpt: I want to say that I really enjoyed this film, it was funny and heart warming. Big downside is why Disney are now using TrueHD and like many I had audio dropout's, not half as bad as Total Recall but very noticable never the less and hence what spoiled and really good sound mix.
Excerpt: Brave isn't one of my favourite Pixar's but nowhere near as bad as many have said. I feel as though 3.5 is a little too low so I'll be giving it 4/5 since I can't be more specific. Overall I really enjoyed it. It has some truly wonderful qualities and had a lot of potential but my main gripe is, well the whole fairy tale aspect of it. I found Braves fairy tale (the bears and such) to be too underdevelopped, which as a result lowered my initially impressed feelings.

Excerpt: Synopsis: Upset that her mother insists on arranging a marriage for her, Merida - a strong-willed but rash Scottish princess - escapes into the nearby forest, where she encounters a witch who grants her a spell that promises to free her from her overbearing mother, but only - and much to Merida's shock and dismay - by turning her mother into a bear.
Excerpt: In my opinion, Brave would be a hit movie for Sony Animation or Dreamworks, but a disappointment for Pixar... if that makes sense. Pixar is known for making a few of the best animated movies such as Toy Story or Monsters Inc. But Brave isn't as good as those, while it is still a very good movie, I had some major problems with the characters, they didn't look realistic, I feel that Pixar is very good at making their human characters look like humans, like look at Monsters...
