Summary: I enjoyed this modern adaptation of Beauty and the Beast. I have been meaning to read the book and then saw the movie on HBO so I gave it a try. I could see that they had tried to cram in a lot of material, some of the relationships feel rushed and kind of unbelievable. It's definitely cute but now I really want to read the book because I suspect it's quite a bit better.
Excerpt: Ok this is the prime reason whilst reading up about a film i want to see i generally ignore the bad reviews and see the film anyways so i can basically judge with my own eyes and opinion. Beastly is nowhere near as a bad as so many have said it was. I found it to be a great 'updated' version of the 'Beauty And The Beast' tale of old.
Excerpt: Beastly is a modern day fairytale of "Beauty and the Beast." Kyle (Alex Pettyfer) is a high school senior who has been raised to believe that it is good looks that make people like you. He’s cute, popular and has a rich daddy. His arrogant hobby is to humiliate anyone who didn't fit in his category of normal. When he embarrasses the wrong girl at a school rally, she turns him into a “hideous beast”.

Summary: In the Buckeston Academy High School, the wealthy, arrogant, narcissist and bigot Kyle Kingson (Alex Pettyfer) is a student that does not respect his classmates. When Kyle is elected representative of the students, he plays a prank with the outcast Kendra (Mary-Kate Olsen) that has the fame of being a witch. He invites her to a party and humiliates her in front of their classmates. However, Kendra curses him with a spell that makes Kyle as ugly as his soul.
Summary: Awful performances, awful film making. As you can see it is quite awful not only that but it is selfish and should give you a bad vibe. It ruins the classic source materiel that it is based on. I give this movie 22%.
Summary: "Beastly" defines love beyond physical beauty. Kyle (Alex Pettyfer), a good-looking teenager has been cursed by someone he had treated badly. She turned him into an ugly man and only he will come back to his real appearance when someone tells him "I love you". From the beginning of the film, I knew it would give not that much. It struggles on how would be the twists and turns of this fairy-tale plot.
Summary: The girlfriend watched this just recently, went into it with average expectations simply knowing she enjoyed the cast. I attempted to pry her away from it half way through but she was attached, couldn't take her eyes off it. In conclusion, she loved it and really enjoyed it and enjoyed the message of the film.
Summary: Good movie where a good looking rich guy is put under a curse. The story is a heart warming tale of man realizing that he is not the only person that matters in the world, and his quest to find love.
A classic Fairytale that could have been a whole lot better
