  • Summary: I enjoyed this modern adaptation of Beauty and the Beast. I have been meaning to read the book and then saw the movie on HBO so I gave it a try. I could see that they had tried to cram in a lot of material, some of the relationships feel rushed and kind of unbelievable. It's definitely cute but now I really want to read the book because I suspect it's quite a bit better.

  • Excerpt: Ok this is the prime reason whilst reading up about a film i want to see i generally ignore the bad reviews and see the film anyways so i can basically judge with my own eyes and opinion. Beastly is nowhere near as a bad as so many have said it was. I found it to be a great 'updated' version of the 'Beauty And The Beast' tale of old.

  • Summary: Awful performances, awful film making. As you can see it is quite awful not only that but it is selfish and should give you a bad vibe. It ruins the classic source materiel that it is based on. I give this movie 22%.

  • Summary: "Beastly" defines love beyond physical beauty. Kyle (Alex Pettyfer), a good-looking teenager has been cursed by someone he had treated badly. She turned him into an ugly man and only he will come back to his real appearance when someone tells him "I love you". From the beginning of the film, I knew it would give not that much. It struggles on how would be the twists and turns of this fairy-tale plot.

  • Summary: The girlfriend watched this just recently, went into it with average expectations simply knowing she enjoyed the cast. I attempted to pry her away from it half way through but she was attached, couldn't take her eyes off it. In conclusion, she loved it and really enjoyed it and enjoyed the message of the film.
