Excerpt: The Dark Knight Rises is a somewhat controversial film and many of the opinions on it are polarizing. Many love it, many others hate it, very few seems to fall between though. Some of this is down to the difference in storytelling as compared to other Christopher Nolan films, particularly The Dark...
Absolute topper!
Excerpt: Awesome movie. The PQ and Audio are both excellent. I found the 1:78.1 framed scenes to be a tad better than the 2:40.1 framed scenes, but the latter aspect ratio scenes still look great. The sound is excellent, loud and pumping. The extras were a fun watch.
Excerpt: The Batman franchise that we've witnessed over the past decade is groundbreaking, so I'll keep this short. The attention to detail from Christopher Nolan and Christian Bale is second to none, and will hopefully stand as a testament to Hollywood's current addiction to mindless popcorn CGI flicks.
Excerpt: First of all: I'm a Bane fan -- not a Batman fan.... Love it or hate it "The Dark Knight Rises" is a fantastic blockbuster AND a worthy follow-up to "The Dark Knight." All around, it's pretty spectacular.... Now, having said that..
Excerpt: I loved the trilogy. A perfect ending as some would say. I would say an appropriate ending to a story arc divided in 3 parts. Each part making its case as the best. This could be the best trilogy I have ever seen so far.
Summary: Chris Nolan continues his masterful film making with this epic conclusion (sadly the last) to the Dark Knight trilogy. Yes it's not an engaging as the first two, but the canvas is much larger and this is meant to be epic, which is what it is.
Excerpt: I won't bother to add my 2 cents to review the movie itself as others have put into words pros and cons better than I probably could. But I will say if you've got at least a decent audio system and haven't bought this yet, for some reason, you simply must own it.
