  • Conclusion: 'Adventure Time: The Complete First Season' offers viewers a strange, hilarious, and effortlessly delightful introduction to one of the most unique and entertaining shows on TV. Fun for both kids and adults, the series appeals to all ages and is full of quirky creativity, wondrous imagination, and offbeat humor. The video transfers are very strong with great pop and bright colors, and while not lossless, the audio mixes are actually very effective.

Adventure Time: The Complete First Season Blu-ray Review

  • Excerpt: The Film Cartoon Network's Adventure Time is a cute, crudely drawn story about a boy named Finn (voiced by Jeremy Shada) and his dog Jake ( Futurama 's John DiMaggio), who just happens to have magical powers to grow big or small at will. Um, what? It's not exactly your typical kiddie cartoon, but that's probably why the show is so insanely popular and well, insanely insane. It's quite a trippy show -- and the kids just seem to love it.

Adventure Time: The Complete First Season Blu-ray Review

  • Conclusion: Even with relatively limited supplemental packages and lossy Dolby Digital stereo mixes, you can't go wrong with the first two seasons of Adventure Time . With strong video presentations and all your favorite first and second season episodes, there's really nothing to consider. Unless, that is, you've never given the series a try, in which case a rental is in order. Fans will want to add both seasons to their carts post haste, though. Shortcomings be damned.
