  • Summary: I bought this at my local Walmart and am disappointed. I didn't know it came with digital copy so I bought it. A week later for a few dollars more it had digital copy. Very bummed because Walmart neglected to have the other.

The worst of the series

invenio, blu-ray.com
3 July 2013
  • Excerpt: Movie: Ok, so this is definitely the worst of the series. It has none of the magic of the original. Getting that out of the way it is a bland, reused story. Hero goes to different country to save family member... blah blah. The acting is pretty terrible, and other than a few large explosions and some slow motion action scenes at the end this was pretty terrible all the way through. One thing that made it borderline unwatchable was the extreme shaky cam.

Not a Good Day!

jawsfan1975, blu-ray.com
4 June 2013
  • Excerpt: Take a mediocre action movie and slap the Die Hard name on it. Throw in a lazy, bored looking Bruce Willis, boring bad guys, gloomy settings and you have this just over 90 min action movie. No real memorable action scenes, the set pieces are only moderately exciting. The slow motion kills the tension, and 1:85 ratio! Come on, these films deserve a wide lens and extravigant set pieces.

  • Summary: It fits in well with the Die Hard franchise. I liked the characters. It wasn't the best Die Hard but it wasn't the worst. I liked how the writers worked the story. It was interesting. The action is unbelievable as always and outrageously fun.

Weak

  • Summary: As an action film, its good. This being the Harder Extended Edition brings back what was cut from the cinematic release in their attempt to make a Die Hard film child friendly. There's, blood, killing and a bit of swearing, but thats not enough to bring back the charm that the other films had, leaving this a rather empty film.

average action fodder

kesmit, Zavvi
23 June 2013
  • Summary: A Good Day to Die Hard is an average action film with a ton of cash thrown at it. The biggest problem with it is all the way through I was thinking, this isn't Die Hard. Sure it's got Bruce in the same character role but something is missing. Basically what I'm trying to say is if they changed Bruce's character name and the Die Hard title it would be any number of big budget action flicks, but if you did the same with the other 4 Die Hard films you would be saying these...
