How many times can you Die Hard?

GMLSKIS, blu-ray.com
23 January 2015
  • Excerpt: Probably not as good as the others but still entertaining with an unbelievable chase scene. The movie starts off with 30 seconds of blank screen (WTF). I would fire any film editor who thinks this is a good way to start a movie.

The downward slide continues

simonynwa, blu-ray.com
6 September 2013
  • Excerpt: Let's be realistic, the only classic Die Hard film is the first and the rest have tried hard to emulate this to varying degrees of success. Here the only connection appears to be that Bruce Willis shows up as John McClane and seemingly sleepwalks through the entire film.

The worst of the series

invenio, blu-ray.com
3 July 2013
  • Excerpt: Movie: Ok, so this is definitely the worst of the series. It has none of the magic of the original. Getting that out of the way it is a bland, reused story. Hero goes to different country to save family member... blah blah.

User Review

nutterjr, Metacritic
21 June 2013
  • Summary: A disappointment in every level imaginable. It reminded me of the other film Willis made with another on screen son 'Cold Light of Day' only worse. A good day to call it a day.

Just enjoy it

StillaYankee, blu-ray.com
10 June 2013
  • Excerpt: I let the obscenely negative reviews influence me and didn't see this in the theater but for $15 I just had to give it a shot and I'm glad I did. If you're thinking of getting this for a great storyline and a plausible plot, look elsewhere.

Just let the series die

  • Excerpt: A miserable experience. On more than one occasion I found myself Studying the faces in the audience thinking, "Are they enjoying themselves?", "Does this classify as entertainment?

Not as bad a day to Die Hard

Garth Hyson, blu-ray.com
5 June 2013
  • Excerpt: Since this film came out, I have only heard bad things. I have to say it was not that bad. If this movie was the first of the series, it would not have made any sense. We know John McClain, we know all about him, we had the first three films to know exactly what his character is all about.

Not a Good Day!

jawsfan1975, blu-ray.com
4 June 2013
  • Excerpt: Take a mediocre action movie and slap the Die Hard name on it. Throw in a lazy, bored looking Bruce Willis, boring bad guys, gloomy settings and you have this just over 90 min action movie. No real memorable action scenes, the set pieces are only moderately exciting.
