Summary: Called Yamaha because this thing turns off after 6 minutes of inactivity Do not buy it if that matters to you, as there is no way of changing the default Very big deal for me, therefore I will never buy a Yamaha blue ray again, sigh should have bought the Oppo Oh well live an learn
Summary: Purchased the BD-A1010 player in November of 2011. My interest is the ability to play numerous discs and file formats. This player cannot play wav files produced from a CD using Windows Media Player. The wav files are the supported format, 16bit 2 channel stereo 44.1KC sample rate. Windows Media player adds information to the wav file header that the player cannot understand, resulting with the file not played.
Summary: I bought this blu-ray player because it matched my Yamaha RX-A2000 receiver. As far as looks go, it looks great and matches the receiver great. The only problem I have is it won't play a blu-ray disc the whole way through. It always goes to the home screen sometime in the play mode. I have contacted Amazon and they say it is past the return policy deadline. I have contacted Yamaha , and they haven't gotten back to me yet!
