Worst product ever - Stay away from Vizio

Gregg A. Lebovitz "glebovitz", Amazon
8 April 2014
  • Summary: I have three Vizio product that I bought within the past few years. All of them have been nothing but trouble. The VBR 334 is the worst of the bunch. I had to return one of them to Costco because it did not display a good image. A second one went back to Vizio, because of a similar problem and its inability to play PAL format discs.. I bought this DVD player, in particular, to play my PAL format region independent discs that I bought in Europe and Russia.

Do not buy if you want to watch new Blu Ray DVD's

Jaime Abeel, Amazon
17 March 2014
  • Summary: Vizio doesn't support these anymore and you can't watch any new Blu-ray's. I talked to customer support and they don't know when or if they will be getting the updates... Basically, I can't watch any of the new movies I bought now.

This is a complete lemon.

BigGreenUnit, Amazon
23 February 2014
  • Summary: No matter what function is used, it shuts down after about 20 minutes. I was unable to get it set up within 12 month warranty period for health reasons, but nobody cares. Has not worked since day 1.

Not the best but not as bad as the rest are making it out to be

Samuel Galloway, Amazon
6 July 2013
  • Summary: I've had this player for 1 1/2 years and have had few problems with it. It plays 3d blu ray disc, 2d blu rays,DVDs and media disc( digital copies I burn to a blank DVD) with no problem. The only complaint I have is for some reason this player has a bit of a problem reading 2d disney disc on the first try. I have to keep ejecting until it acknowledges the disc then it plays fine. It's a bit of an inconvinance but I don't play 2d disney disc that often.

Not very good for DVD

Anthony Chiappette "chippe01", Amazon
14 June 2013
  • Summary: I purchased both a Visio 3D TV and this BD player to replace my old equipment in the living room. While it plays both 2D and 3D blue rays fairly well, I have a heck of a time with commercial DVD discs. It freezes up all the time and I have to wait, and wait, and wait until the unit finally shuts itself off, turn the unit on again, and manually find my way back to the point where the disc froze. With this ridiculously unnecessarily huge remote, it's not easy.

Decent BluRay player but the Wireless is almost useless.

Rev. Kornnut, Amazon
6 May 2013
  • Summary: Once I disabled the auto-play function, the blu-ray is a dream. The remote is a bit of a problem, when pressing the buttons the player responds about every third button press. Once it acknowledges the signal, the transition from on thing to another is aggravatingly slow. The built in Wifi is 802.11n which sounds great, until you use it. With the device installed into my unit at least it has trouble staying connected.

Garbage

CR, Amazon
16 January 2013
  • Summary: It literally stopped working after one session. Even brought in a professional who told me it could not be fixed. It thus became trash in a week. I have other Vizio products that are fine.

Died after 9 months of use

ParrotPilot, Amazon
21 December 2012
  • Summary: Unit worked fine for the first couple of months. Then it would begin to intermittently turn itself off. Cycling it on and off sometimes resolved the problem, but not always. Some days it just decided to turn itself off at random intervals and immediately turn itself back off when I would try to restart it. It has finally decided to remain turned off for good. I really would not recommend this unit. Paid $140 for it and it only lasted for 9 months.

STAY AWAY!

J. Gibbons, Amazon
4 November 2012
  • Summary: Too bad zero stars are not an option. Bought it in June and less than 10 DVDs an six months later it was done. Contacted Tech support through chat which I knew would be of no help. It was DOA and the only option would have been to repair it. It was actually under warranty but like $25 car batteries with a lifetime warranty you have to ask yourself is it worth it? No it's not, buy another brand, I am.
