Summary: I have three Vizio product that I bought within the past few years. All of them have been nothing but trouble. The VBR 334 is the worst of the bunch. I had to return one of them to Costco because it did not display a good image. A second one went back to Vizio, because of a similar problem and its inability to play PAL format discs.. I bought this DVD player, in particular, to play my PAL format region independent discs that I bought in Europe and Russia.
Summary: Vizio doesn't support these anymore and you can't watch any new Blu-ray's. I talked to customer support and they don't know when or if they will be getting the updates... Basically, I can't watch any of the new movies I bought now.
Summary: No matter what function is used, it shuts down after about 20 minutes. I was unable to get it set up within 12 month warranty period for health reasons, but nobody cares. Has not worked since day 1.
Summary: Got this 3d Blu-ray player in Aug of 2011 and my son got the same player for christmas 2012. As Cindy says below Vizio is no longer making updates. Blu-ray players are software based therefore always needing updates as the code on new BRD changes. So this player useless for any new movies. I will never buy any Vizio products again and there should be a class action suit by all the people who bought this unit.
terrible! great for old disks, but the newer ones wont play. they also wont update firmware either anymore!

Not the best but not as bad as the rest are making it out to be

Summary: I've had this player for 1 1/2 years and have had few problems with it. It plays 3d blu ray disc, 2d blu rays,DVDs and media disc( digital copies I burn to a blank DVD) with no problem. The only complaint I have is for some reason this player has a bit of a problem reading 2d disney disc on the first try. I have to keep ejecting until it acknowledges the disc then it plays fine. It's a bit of an inconvinance but I don't play 2d disney disc that often.
Summary: I purchased both a Visio 3D TV and this BD player to replace my old equipment in the living room. While it plays both 2D and 3D blue rays fairly well, I have a heck of a time with commercial DVD discs. It freezes up all the time and I have to wait, and wait, and wait until the unit finally shuts itself off, turn the unit on again, and manually find my way back to the point where the disc froze. With this ridiculously unnecessarily huge remote, it's not easy.
Decent BluRay player but the Wireless is almost useless.

Summary: Once I disabled the auto-play function, the blu-ray is a dream. The remote is a bit of a problem, when pressing the buttons the player responds about every third button press. Once it acknowledges the signal, the transition from on thing to another is aggravatingly slow. The built in Wifi is 802.11n which sounds great, until you use it. With the device installed into my unit at least it has trouble staying connected.
Summary: Player was purchased December 2011, less than 1 1/2 years old. Vizio told me yesterday and today by phone (numerous calls) that they were no longer providing firmware updates for their blu ray players. Naturally I was upset, spoke to several employees, including supervisors. All but one told me "Vizio is getting out of the blu ray business". How dare they take money for machines they have no intention of supporting with necessary updates. NO MORE VIZIO for our family!
