Summary: This player arrived in a new box leading us to believe it is a new product. Don't be fooled. Within 4 months it stopped working reliably- it was hit or miss. Now, it will not display anything on the screen and it won't eject dvds making it unusable. A blue light will come on but no display text appears on the front; when you try hitting the eject button, the device turns off. I find this unacceptable.
Summary: A real piece of JUNK, Has never work right. Would have given it 0 stars if I could have. Not a happy amazon customer over this thing. Sorry I had it in a box for over 3 months out of town then open it and has never work wright. Right now there is a CD in it I can't get out. Real Junk.
Summary: We ordered this Blu-Ray player to connect to a Toshiba 26" LCD TV, and we have not been impressed. The picture quality and all that are fine (when the player works!), but this player has a lot of issues simply playing discs. We've run into countless times where a disc skips, the picture gets all pixelated, etc. It seems to happen at random, and we've double checked to make sure the discs themselves are not the issue.
Summary: I don't usually write reviews but do check them out when deciding to make a purchase. So in case anyone is deciding whether to purchase this player, don't buy it. We purchased this Toshiba BDX2500 in January 2011. Unfortunately we didn't connect it for a while. It has never worked right. The power button on the player doesn't work most of the time, the stop button on the player doesn't work. The remote worked initially but now that doesn't work.
Summary: This Player does work on both Blu-ray and normal DVDs. It is a nice size and has a nice blue lit info on the display. However I feel it is loud, Clunky sounding and SLOW to react to Loading and Ejecting. There has been a few times that the Power button did NOT turn it off - I had to temporarily unplug it before it would go off.
