An Outdated BR Player

Rakuten
10 July 2013
  • Summary: This refurbished BR player requires a wifi adaptor in order to be linked to a router. For about the same price, one can easily buy a BR player with wifi built in.

Worst Electronic Device I've Ever Owned!

Ron Gibson, Amazon
28 June 2013
  • Summary: There's so much about the BDX2300 I hate that I'm sure I'll forget some stuff. First, at least once a week I have to unplug it because it locks-up and is non-responsive, just out of the blue. Sometimes it will sit on the Netflix opening screen.

Almost the right product at the right price!

Neobry, Amazon
5 January 2013
  • Summary: I would have given this a 5-star, but it is missing Wi-Fi. The price is right and the product needs some improvements. GUI flows is good, but menu speed is a little slow for my taste. This is a connected BD so I did not expect much in terms of contents compared to Smart BD (Samsung/LG).

Lies

S. Detchon, Amazon
5 January 2013
  • Summary: This is not a good product. It's cheap, runs slow, and although it says it is Wireless LAN ready, you have to buy an adapter which you can only get through Toshiba at $60. Only Toshiba adapters will work.

Needs a $70 proprietary USB Wifi adapter

Milind Rao, Amazon
5 January 2013
  • Summary: The box says that it's wifi ready. The wifi would not work out of the box. So opened the manual to find that it needs a proprietary USB wifi adapter which costs another $70. WTF! Dropped 2 stars for false advertising. The video quality is okay.

buyer beware

JZ, Amazon
4 January 2013
  • Summary: I recently bought this Toshiba BDX2300 blu-ray player after checking it out first for other comments. It seemed to have good reviews but I found out not to believe what others are saying. When I used it for the first time I connected my USB storage drive and made sure to use proper file types.

Eh, not bad. But to be fair I did get it for free 0_0

LiquiDMediC, Amazon
4 January 2013
  • Summary: I recently received this as a christmas/birthday gift. I had it stored away until tonight. I purchased a 60' HDTV 1080p TV set a few days ago and was excited to open this up and watch TV in full HD. Right off the bat I noticed that the box was previously opened.

  • Summary: Yes, that is right. I am in need of my third Toshiba Blu-Ray/DVD player in six months. Please take my review very seriously. Within the first two months of use, our Blu-Ray/DVD player started skipping, shutting off and not responding to commands.
