Summary: Yes, that is right. I am in need of my third Toshiba Blu-Ray/DVD player in six months. Please take my review very seriously. Within the first two months of use, our Blu-Ray/DVD player started skipping, shutting off and not responding to commands. I contacted Toshiba, and was relieved to learn that they replace all defective electronics through their Acclaims Department and a website called Toshiba Direct. What a joke!
Summary: I've been struggling for months with this player. It freezes up,all the time. And am just now realizing that it needs the wireless USB. Definitely false advertising. I won't be buying toshiba.
Summary: There's so much about the BDX2300 I hate that I'm sure I'll forget some stuff. First, at least once a week I have to unplug it because it locks-up and is non-responsive, just out of the blue. Sometimes it will sit on the Netflix opening screen. When in Netflix I will click on an episode of a TV show to watch and it will kick me back to the bluray player's home screen. To turn it off I first have to exit out of whatever I'm in (Netflix, watching a disc..
Summary: I recently bought this Toshiba BDX2300 blu-ray player after checking it out first for other comments. It seemed to have good reviews but I found out not to believe what others are saying. When I used it for the first time I connected my USB storage drive and made sure to use proper file types. This load of garbage worked on less then 50% of my media. It would just lockup the same as a computer without my ability to do anything with it.
Summary: Got this player for Xmas. It Has really poor dnla support, it won't even play my mp3s from my plex server let alone any video, same goes for Windows Media dnla. Was under the impression that it had wifi, it didn't, its just "wifi ready". Interface is sluggish. The only Merits to this device is its ability to do Netflix, plays bluray and is relatively inexpensive.
Eh, not bad. But to be fair I did get it for free 0_0

Summary: I recently received this as a christmas/birthday gift. I had it stored away until tonight. I purchased a 60' HDTV 1080p TV set a few days ago and was excited to open this up and watch TV in full HD. Right off the bat I noticed that the box was previously opened. They had re-taped it using your basic scotch tape one would use to tape up an envelope or something. The devise came out easily, especially because I'm certain it wasn't the first time it has come out the box.
Summary: This thing is junk. It's slow, freezes up, and requires a wireless adapter which you can only get through Toshiba for $60. Only Toshiba adapters work. I typically like Toshiba products (they make great laptops!), but I will never recommend their blu-ray.
Summary: This is not a good product. It's cheap, runs slow, and although it says it is Wireless LAN ready, you have to buy an adapter which you can only get through Toshiba at $60. Only Toshiba adapters will work.
