  • Summary: beside many firmware issues with Blu-ray DVD, I strongly suggest it due to its functionality and quality.
  • Pros: Great to watch Movie at Home, allow access to YouTube, Pandora, Picasa and Netflix
  • Cons: Up conversion suck, remote died after 2-3 months, player can be worse after 6 months.

Sub-par Wi-Fi Blu-ray

ironman96, Amazon
19 May 2012
  • Summary: Unfortunately we bought this before checking out reviews because of the cheap price and Toshiba brand. The player worked fine for DVDs and Netflix at first. About 3 weeks later, it started having problems turning on and stopped playing DVDs and Netflix. One day we struggled with the player for 30 minutes to try and get it to turn on. After having so many problems we decided to check reviews on Amazon which helped us realize the player was junk.

You get what you pay for...

McGyver, Amazon

  • Summary: ...which is not a lot. It's small, fairly good looking in a nondescript kind of way, is not riddled with buttons on the front panel, has Wifi and Netflix (nice combo) and a remote with an OK set of buttons. Speaking of which (the remote that is), it has some weird connectivity problem. I used to own a Samsung DVD with HDD that had a very narrow field of reception, this is better but somewhat unresponsive.

Disappointment

TVS, Amazon
15 October 2011
  • Summary: Bought this Blu-Ray player a couple weeks ago on sale. Bottom line is it plays Blu-Ray and DVD disks fine, but the problem with my unit is when you pause the disk for more than a few minutes. Once the screensaver takes control, the unit is basically dead with the only option to go back to the Toshiba menu.
