Excerpt: The BDX2100 is the second Blu-ray player launched by Toshiba since the well-publicised demise of HD DVD. It’s the successor to the BDX2000, a decent budget deck that we reviewed towards the end of last year and continues in the range.
Excerpt: Into The Blu ========= Since Blu-Ray has become the standard for high definition optical media the prices of the players has been quite rapidly declining. It's now possible to get a decent Blu-Ray player at sub £100 prices.
Summary: Great player, excellent picture & sound quality. DVD picture upscaling is amazingly good, and I am rediscovering my old DVD collection. If you just want a good 2D Blue Ray player to replace a DVD player this is perfect.
Summary: Pleased with my purchase worked fine and easy to use. Tried it with CD DVD and Blu ray and all work fine and the upscaling is good as my old DVD's come out better on my HD TV. Only Downside I have found it only plays regeion 2 DVD's and I have a few Region 1 which it refuses to play and so far have...
Summary: I bought this to go with our new TV and wanted a USB input.I read as many reviews as possible before making this choice. Its great, plays my music through the TV or via an external amp ( wired through the TV )and the upscale feature is fantastic, as is the Blu - ray aspect.
Summary: I had some problems at first as I couldnt get this to work, it worked out to be the HDMI cable it was not strong enough, I purchesed a better one and oh my god it was amazing, the set up was so simple, I have only played a film on it at the moment but the quality is great
Summary: Note this player doesn't have built in wifi. And some reviews say it has no built in memory - while another review said it had 256mb. Either way it's a great bluray player. I only have Toy Story 3.
Summary: This is not a high-end, all singing, all dancing model but if you're looking for a basic way in to HD BluRay movies then you could do a lot worse. The only disappointment is the remote which verges on the spongy and unresponsive.
Summary: Looked for a basic Blue ray player to go with HD TV recently purchased. As the TV was Toshiba it was logical to get a player of the same make. By doing so, am able to use the same remote. As others have reported, it is a bit noisy when loading/unloading, but when playing you don't hear it working.
Summary: This is a multi voltage machine 110-240v and is straight out of the box capable of playing region 2 DVDs or region B Bluray on both NTSC and PAL TVs . It is perfect for watching European sourced content in the USA .I bought one while visitng UK but you can have one shipped for not much more.
