Summary: I purchased this from Amazon.com on Black Friday (caught it in that small window of opportunity when the price was $79.97). While it doesn't appear to be a true Toshiba product (its made by Funai, as are Magnavox, Sylvania, Philips and some Onkyo and Denon Blu-Ray players), its still from a proven,...
Summary: This player has been hooked up for four days, and so far so good. I'm not terribly "techno-savvie" so it was a surprise to me that the friend who came over to help me with this had to run out and buy a cord before the unit could be hooked up to output high definition, including Blu-ray.
Summary: So far no complaints with the unit. I purchased the Toshiba model because it links with my Toshiba Tv with Regza link. I didn't need all the internet features as far as downloading movies etc. It does Has BD live but I doubt I'll ever use this feature. The price was right @ (...) online at (...).
Summary: Work nice. Lil slow to load and respond sometimes, especially if its BD. Also, the maximum angle at which remote control can be used is also restricted. U have to be basically in the front. Other than that...The unit works just fine. Its sleek and looks nice.
Summary: This is a nice blue-ray for not much money. It is very slim and there are no visible buttons when the face is up. We looked at ones that were priced equally but they did not have the capability for online updates if needed. I would definitely recommend this as a good buy.
Summary: I bought this with the Toshiba 37" LCD and they are both amazing. Blu-Ray discs are actually better than viewing a film in the theatre as there is no dust or scratches on the print. Regular DVDs in 720p come out well alsoThey should give you an HDMI cable. So be prepared to blow $30-50 at the store.
