Summary: I bought this as a gift three years ago. This particular Blu-Ray disc player is lightweight, small, thin and fits just about anywhere in your home. It works well for your theater home system. Regular DVDs may be used as well as Blu-Ray DVDs on this particular player. It is a good quality DVD Blu-Ray Player based on it's features, quality, start up time, and price.
Summary: Our spare room DVD player finally had seen its last day. As we slowly start to build a collection of Blu-Ray disks it only made sense to replace it with a Blu-Ray player. Since our old player was a high end product "Cyberhome", wink, wink, I went on the search for a similar low cost unit. I had my reservations when I saw this unit for the price but the mfr. has usally demontrated quality and it certainly is a step above that of "Cyberhome".
Summary: Last year my son bought me a Sony Blu-Ray player which I set up on my downstairs Sony system. However, the BW ( beautiful wife ) doesn't always share my movie taste so I needed another Blu- Ray for the upstairs. Didn't want to pay a whole lot for another player as the movies themselves are so expensive, and along comes this Toshiba at a very reasonable cost.
Summary: This is my second Blu-Ray player, and I recommend it highly as a basic player. This has a smooth mechanism, runs quietly, is light and compact, and works great. It replaces my 3 year old Samsung BD-P1200, a buggy, a $450 dawn of the era player that was still functional but that finally had became too irritating to tolerate.
Summary: This player is great. It has been working fine for almost 2 years. It has been able to play all the movies we bought. Once we had to update the driver but you just have to plug an Ethernet cable and update it and that is it. It makes regular DVDs look better as well.
