Summary: When I connected this device for the very first time to my HD TV SET and to the electrical outlet my next step was to turn it on by the remote control unit (after installing fresh batteries which are not included) and there was not any response.

Summary: We received this blu ray player as a Christmas gift. For the first few months it worked fine, and then after that it completely stopped. Unfortunately, by that time we were past the 90 days warranty for an exchange. Toshiba was entirely unhelpful and actually recommended I just go buy a new one.
Summary: Unit was great at first, my only complaint was it's very slow time to load discs. But fresh out of it's 90 day warranty, unit would not power on. Summary: There is an annoying bug that every time the bluray movie hits a new chapter, a progress bar pops up at the bottom with a picture of the next chapter. It is really annoying and spoils the next chapter! Otherwise, it is fine except that it loads slowly.
Summary: Yes, that is right. I am in need of my third Toshiba Blu-Ray/DVD player in six months. Please take my review very seriously. Within the first two months of use, our Blu-Ray/DVD player started skipping, shutting off and not responding to commands.
Summary: Got this for my husband as a black friday amazon deal ---glad i did not pay more for it! Stopped working as soon as the 1-year warranty ran-out....and ate a disc we had JUST purchased to watch. Called Toshiba tech support----they are useless.
Summary: Toshiba BDX2500 Blu-ray Disc Player (Black) Apparently I should have done more research and shopping prior to this purchase from Amazon. This lemon started exhibiting problems like not turning on or off until you recycle the power (unplug & replug).
