Summary: Pros: Fast read of Blu-rays Feature rich Every video and music service you could want, including Amazon instant video, Netflix, and Pandora Has lasted a long time DLNA compliant - will play movies straight from your computer library or NAS. Cons: no control without the remote control. This feature drives my wife NUTS, since she's always losing the remote. Luckily, it does have an app that allows you to control it from a phone, or else we would be in big trouble.
Summary: The load time isn't too bad and pausing, fast forwarding, rewinding all work pretty well. Updating is a very easy process over the network cable. My only complaint is that for some reason, some production DVD movies can't be read on the unit. There is no reason for this, the same disk works on other Sony Blu-Ray models, just not this one. I have also only used the 3D feature once, but it worked great on Tron: Legacy 3D.
Summary: I am a long time SONY buyer but this Blu-ray player has been a lemon from the start. Some days it works and some days it does not. Intermittingly flashing “see you”. Called Sony and they gave me discount towards to new player since it was out of warranty.
Summary: Easy set up right out of the box, connected to the wifi simply by following the directions and has all the extras for internet viewing and also great for 3D. I recommend this Sony Blu ray Player.
Summary: This is a good quality 3D Blu-ray player. I was surprised it came with a couple 3D movies. I just do not know if I made the right purchase because I own a Samsung 3D 240HZ Flat screen and I do not know if I should have crossed brands to get the best effect out of the 3D feature. All in all I am happy though and the reason I purchased this is because of it's high quality ratings.
Summary: This sony blueray model has an excelleny performance in terms of picture quality, faster loading and easy control features. I compared this product with 4 other brands in the same price range and this really stand out.
Summary: I have owned the BDP-S70 for about 8 months and have used it over a dozen times to watch movies (3D and Blu-ray) as well as well as watch Netflix through a wireless connection from my wireless router. Overall, the BDP-S70 plays Blue-ray and Blue-ray 3D DVDs effortlessly. Controls are fairly simple and the on screen programing is easy to navigate through.
Summary: This Blu-ray has all the things I needed from it, I got it to replace PS3 because it is too noisy. However Sony still has to learn a bit about user experience. I had to register and login at four different sony's own websites: Sony Registration (site was down the first day), Sony Essentials, Sony Store & Sony Entertainment. Taking a star off. Then of course each service needed its own activation.
