Summary: The reviews for this unit on its launch all chimed in with a resounding 'fantastic, best in class' rating. I opted for this circa 2009, and have not been disappointed with its picture, sound, upscaling and blu-ray rendering. That is up to now, when the drive unit is sounding like a car idling heavily - very noisy and it doesn't dissipate through the watching experience.
Summary: I am not very good with gadgets. This was my husbands choice and he is a bit of a buff when it comes to these things. This blue ray player is easy to use and has lots of great functions. It was exactly what we were looking for according to my husband. All in all very pleased.
Summary: My first entry into the hd world & what a revelation! The picture & sound quality from this player is jaw dropping. Toy Story 3 was the first film viewed & I was amazed at the depth & sharpness & clarity of the picture. (This player is connected to a Panasonic plasma TV.) It displays the usual Sony quality, although it does take a long time to load! All in all it is worth the wait.
Summary: What a brilliant player.I have already got the bdp-560 model but this is a clear step up in terms of build quality, sharper picture and no fan noise during playback.I purchased this player through amazon for [...].absolute bargain!
Summary: Based on the advice of a home cinema installation technician, who just happens to be a friend as well, I replaced my Panasonic BDP-55 with the Sony BDPS-760. What a revelation. Sound is so much more cinematic and enveloping. Picture is cleaner but much more detailed, and has a real three dimentional quality to it. Colours are more vibrant. DVD's look superb as well, especially compared to the Panasonic which I had been fairly happy with.

Summary: I bought this player to go with a new sony tv I intended getting in the near future. The player was firstly conected to my old Toshiba 37in TV, and did not dissapoint Blue Ray films are truly exelent but the down side is the loading times from closing the drawer to getting the first menue on screen . Standard DVD's are also very good and load faster. So a well recomended player.
Summary: Amazon's delivery, first rate and quick. This Blu-Ray player was an upgrade from my previous Sony BDP-S350, and the extra money was well worth it. The picture quality IS better on this machine, sound quality is super too. I was in two minds whether to buy this one or the Cambridge Audio 650BD. Granted the 650BD is a universal player (also £400) but the reason I plumped for this was SONY quality.
