The Sony BDP-S760 is a Blu-ray disc player that has the ability to produce over 2 million pixels per frame to produce sharp picture that is at a 6x better picture resolution. The player also features DVD upscaling that allows userst o view existing DVDs in near-HD quality via an HDMI™ connection. It features a built-in Wi-Fi wireless functionality (802.11n/g/b/a) that lets users connect to the internet to download and stream BD-Live™1 content such as additional scenes, shorts, trailers, movie-based games and more. While compatible with most home wireless routers, this Blu-ray Disc player also supports Wi-Fi protected set-up (WPS) connection to WPS enabled wireless routers. Other features on the BDP-S560 include photo streaming functionality, which allows users to wirelessly stream digital photos from a PC or other Digital Living Network Alliance (DLNA) enabled device to the Blu-ray Disc player, so they can view photos on a HDTV. There's also a digital photo playback feature that lets users enjoy digital photos on the HDTV by inserting USB flash memory loaded with photos into the players' front USB port; interactivity with BD-Live™ technology that lets users download and stream bonus content such as additional scenes, shorts, movie-based games, trailers and more (BD-Live enabled Blu-ray Disc, USB flash memory and internet connection are required); supports both internal decoding and bitstream output of enhanced audio codecs, including Dolby® TrueHD and dts®-HD Master Audio for “lossless” surround sound with 7.1 channels of audio; Xross Media Bar™ (XMB™) interface and Quick Start mode that lets users begin operating their Blu-ray Disc player approximately six seconds from the time it's powered on.
