Summary: Bought this unit as much primarily for it's streaming ability. Come to find out there is a known problem with streaming Netflix with this unit in particular, but includes other Sony units as well.
Summary: I have had this product for over a year and it has worked perfectly. Until two days ago......now it will not connect to Netflix or Hulu. The network connection is good and I have reset everything multiple times. My outcome has been the same as the other one star users that have posted their reviews.
Summary: Yep, same problem here! Started a few days ago, unplugged it and it worked...for a minute. Now it's back down. Says I'm connected to the internet then gives me a connection error. I've unplugged, reset all settings, reset modem, cussed, opened a bottle of wine and started looking for a new player.
Summary: We've had this player since December 2012, it is now April 2014, and now we want to bash it into a million pieces. We've had problems with it for about 6 months but now it is just useless. It started with issues with its remote. So we replaced the batteries, and nope.
Summary: I bought this for my wife at Christmas 2012. It took us about a month to even unpack it, Afterwards we put perhaps one disk in it every two months. I think we played perhaps two blu rays in it. The features are nice, we had no trouble with setup, and the controls and menus are easy to navigate.
Pros: The movie quality has been good, except when streaming Netflix, HULU + etc....
Cons: Mu open/close mechanism has jammed for some reason. My Blu Ray of the "Empire Strikes Back " is stuck... I have tried the remote. The buttons on the unit are USELESS. The buttons on the unit are poorest I have ever seen. The remote is upside down from our normal remotes. Bought it at Best Buy 8 m...
