Summary: This product was not adapted properly by the electronics firm that converted it to an all-region player. It would not play certain region A discs, thinking that it was only a region 2 player when in gact it was supposed to be a region-free player. I had to return this item.
Summary: Total junk. I hate to be so harsh, but I bought this because of the Sony name and it's really, really cheap and should be an embarrassment to Sony that they ever produce products of this low quality. Of course just after the 30 day return time it started failing to connect to online services.
Summary: .The up-side of this unit was it came on time packed well. The down-side is that it had several problems. The tray would only close partway then reopen constantly and the internet wireless hooked up to my router without a problem, but when I tried to get Netflicks and other wi fi apps it told me it...
Summary: How do you update a product via WiFi when the update is to make the WiFi work? Tried it with a zip drive via the Sony website and that didn't work either. Useless manual. Don't waste your time on this if you want to connect it wirelessly.
Summary: I replaced by old Philips Region-Free DVD player with this machine in order to play Region Free Blu-Ray discs. It worked beautifully with the first three PAL discs I played that were not Blu-Ray, but absolutely refused to play a Blu-Ray disc marked "Region B.
Summary: This is the second Sony BluRay player that has died on me. Only three months after buying it, the player would not eject the disc. So the disc was stuck inside. After unplugging the power, the boot screen comes on then goes blank forever.
Summary: The software is unstable, the UI is terrible. We've had this for 4 months, and are now in the market to purchase the new version of Roku. Had Roku for 3 years and never had this many problems in 3 years as we had with 4 months on this device. The Blu-Ray works great though.
Amazon refund policy great Sony Player not so much.

Summary: I thought SONY of all companies would be the one to have a great BLU RAY Player. Instead this turned out to be a cheaply built vibrating hunk of garbage. In the picture it can be seen how they made the top of the player different than most and I surmise it is due to get some strength out of the thin...
Summary: Not as good as advertised. Here are the major issues I've had: Remote doesn't work at times. When it does, it doesn't give immediate feedback which means we sometimes aren't sure if it took it or we need to wait.
