If you don't need wifi, get this instead of the S5100!

Summary: Update: 26 Apr 2014 Internet content is region aware. Meaning: the player will detect which country you are in and download the appropriate software (video streaming apps) for your region. The content in Singapore is equivalent to NONE. "Wired" was giving me news about 2011's iPhone release.
Summary: I was always a bit dubious about getting 'blu-ray' but now I have I would never go back. This is so much more than a disc player. It is also an internet service player, I use it for Netflix, Amazon LoveFilm, YouTube and to browse the Internet (although this can be slow).
Summary: a great improvement on my last blu ray player (also sony) its massively slimmer and huge amounts faster and the colour enhancement tech works great, fantastic sleek and affordable blu ray player!
Summary: Only just set it up and played a dvd through it but the upscaling, colours depth and overall picture quality is exceptional. Set up the wi fi with a couple of Trendnet powerline adapters and it works a treat with Virgin cable broadband. Physically quite small and lightweight and an unusual shape.
Summary: Bought this to go in to my lounge so I can access NETFLIX, YOUTUBE, BBC NEWS etc. Also to plug my USB in and watch any movie files I have loaded onto the USB. Its got a fantastic Blu Ray drive. Does everything you want it to do. Also have a PS3 which does the same with no problem. I'm a SONY fan.
Summary: I purchased this player because you can connect to the internet and it was cheaper than changing the TV for a smart TV. I use it to stream 'Lovefilm" and for Skype on my big screen TV. Easy to operate and a nice remote control. Good quality reliable Sony Architecture.
Summary: I am sure that some people could justify paying more. Probably the same people that think paying a fortune for an HDMI cable really makes a difference. Anyone else is going to be very happy with the every aspect of this Sony product - including the price.
