Summary: This is replacing a Sony that finally broke down on me. I have had it since Blu Ray has been out. The door on id had no remote opening on it. So that kind of irked me a little. This one does that, and then some. The picture is so much clearer and sharper then my previous one was.
Summary: I have never had a problem and it performed perfect after I down loaded the upgrade for 3D. My wife and I were blown away by the performance of the player with the TV. Sony I feel is the best and the DVD Sony made to work with the TV is Flawless.
Summary: This is a solid blu-ray player. I have been using it for about 2 years and even bought the same one for my parents. The few blu-ray movies I have seen have been really great, but mostly I use this to either watch DVDs or watch movies that I copy on my flashdrive. Both options work really well!
Summary: I've had this player for a few years now and have had no issues with it. I like how it prompts you that it needs updates and it will download the update on it's own and install. The device is very small and does not take up much room on a component shelf. Definitely worth owning.
Summary: I've owned a stand alone Sony Blu Ray player since June 2009, and have never had a single issue with it. I get an occasional rental disc that has issues, but I'll stick it in other players and they have issues at the same spot, so it's definitely the disc.
Summary: Great SONY product once again. Ordered this as a gift for my father who is slowly making his way into the 21st Century. He LOVED opening it...thinking I spent a fortune on it, he was upset at first, but then I hooked it up and put in Avatar...not a single word except "WOW" was spoken after.
Summary: After three years my original BD player, a Sony BDP-S370, started having problems loading certain Blu-ray discs, saying UNKNOWN on the front display. I knew there was nothing wrong with the discs.
Summary: This is the second Blu-ray player I have purchased, the first one being an LG. This player is so much better and was a lot less expensive. The player offers a lot of apps and is very easy to use. You can even go online and update your player from the Sony Website.
Summary: I have an HD-DVD. Yeah, I bought before Blu-ray won the format war. My ONLY complaint is that DVD Studio Pro won't burn to a Bru-ray disc. At least if it does, I haven't found the trick. But you can "Share" from both Final Cut Pro and from Compressor.
Summary: Hooked this blu-ray player to my sony bravia, it's awesome. My son can push eject, load a disk and the TV will turn on and start playing. No need to chase him around for the remote. Thanks Sony.
